Enjoyed with Armed at a little informal Christmas gathering. Spicy, not too heavy; flavors of nutmeg and cinnamon, and slight hints of apple cider. Beer is ok, will not rush to order it again.

Can from Total Wine, Gainesville. Pours clear amber-brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg. Flavor is cinnamon, nutmeg, metal, and little else. It could be spiced iced tea for all I know. It’s OK, but could be better. Just because you put those "chirstmas" spices into a beer doesn’t make it a winter beer. jflopsu (1862) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 10, 2016
Pours a clear amber. Has a nutmeg, cinnamon and light spice aroma. A sweet cinnamon and nutmeg taste with sweet malts and caramel aftertaste. N3lson1 (1010) - Long Valley, New Jersey, USA - JUN 12, 2016
Drank from a 500ml pint glass, poured from a twelve ounce can. Strong aromas of cinamon. Subtle tastes of both cinamon and ginger. A really awesome winter brew! Thank you Bjorn! jmm635 (1017) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2016
Nice red color with a beige head. Strong aroma of cloves and cinnamon. Dry and earthy. Would not drink again. Dacrza (1071) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - JAN 29, 2016
DATE TASTED: January 29, 2016... GLASSWARE: Mad Elf snifter... OCCASION: celebrating another Friday night with Shan and the Tank... APPEARANCE: dense, burnt sienna body that releases little effervescence...the thin white line forms the head, with a smear of an island in the middle... AROMA: the can’s claims are tangible in the aroma--cinnamon and ginger are the most dominant scents; nutmeg and clove are present...the addition of maple syrup to the olfactory is surprising, as are the wet, toasty malts... PALATE: fizzy early and flat at the finish, with a warming, syrupy draw--not the flourish that I hoped for in a Christmas beer, nor is it as full-bodied as it could be... TASTE: nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon definitely evoke the Christmas spirit--even a month after its exit... the syrupy kickback detracts from the overall flavor--it runs akin to cough medicine, with some malt return to add balance--possibly a brown ale base is in here... OVERALL: This beer gets a bit of a boost from the nostalgia spawned from last week’s Lamb of God/Anthrax concert in Philly...however, the beer on its own does its job but does not demand a second purchase--a reasonable holiday drink that doesn’t distinguish itself...at 5.5%, a favorable drink to combo...

red to deep amber color with a thick head; lots of cinnamon and pie spices in the aroma; smooth with lots of spices in the flavor - mainly cinnamon; medium bodied, bready malt base; I am not usually a fan of spiced Christmas ales, but for all the spices here, it is a pretty smooth and drinkable beer; DCLawyer (2931) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JAN 3, 2016
Can->shaker at Mokomandy shared by GenDV138, thanks Donny! Lite amber with bare offwhite head. Ginger, Christmas spices (think potpourri), herbs. Eh. GenDV138 (7899) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JAN 3, 2016
12 oz can (2015) poured into a shaker pint at Mokomandy. Clear amber with beige head. Aromas of ginger, light spice, light herbs. Tastes of ginger, spices, light herbs, nutty notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Lots of ginger if that’s your thing. demannu (451) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 24, 2015
Pours a deep amber color with a slightly off white head. Spiced aroma. Flavor is medium spiced with some sweet bready flavor as well. Fairly mild flavor but drinkable. Soft and light body. Mediocre overall. ilovedarkbeer (2752) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - DEC 24, 2015
Pours a dark amber color with a foamy canvas colored head. Notes of heavy ginger and holiday spices. Some brown sugar with an herbal finish.
