A better beer than many of the reviews indicate. Pours dark amber with light off-white head. Aromas of pine and cinnamon. A slightly bitter, slightly sweet taste characterized by hints of brown sugar and earthy hops. Not the best dunkel I?ve ever had, but not bad either.

On tap at Royersford location. Pours a brown amber with a small off white head. Light aroma of caramel, malts and some nuts. Lots of malts, nuts and a slight roastiness in the flavor.

"Poured a dark copper color. thin line of head which left almost no lacing to speak of. Aroma was of cinnamon and carmel?? Taste was toasted malts with a bitter finish. Good beer not amazing."

Dry, malty aroma is a bit thin. Some cigarette smoke, lemon, orange zest, cigar. Good complexity if you really dig for it. Flavor befits the style and has the same cigar smokiness which is nice. A bit fruity I think for the style. Some caramel notes too.

[252-20070406] 355mL (w/ jerc). Fresh whole wheat bread yeast aroma with some alcohol and some sweet hints of floral apricot. Hazy, dark brown amber body with a thick medium-lasting foamy light tan head. Some toasted malt and grainy bread yeast in the flavour, finishes sweetly. Medium body has noticeable alcohol. Nice blending otherwise.

Can, from trade with Jasonmech77. Good aroma, sweet & sour. Bit skunky, grassy, yeasty, wheat bread. minor fruitiness. Clean brownish orange color, good head that faded slowly to a narrow covering. Good lace. Sweet bitter flavor. Has a sourness that id dominant flavor, Like aroma with a little caramel nuttiness too. Medium body, creamy slippery mouthfeel, bittersweet finish. Very nice. Look beautiful in the glass.

This traditional dunkel has notes of malt on the aroma. It pours light brown and offers a decent head. The palate has a decent feel of malt and caramel. The finish has a long roasted style.

can. Pours a very nice effervescent dep coppery borwn- clear and a nice lasting fluffy off white head. Lot sof wierd hazy particles floading around as well- some yeasty clumps etc. Aroma is on the weka side- some light doughy malts, lgith cracker, and some delicate sweet toasted malts. Flavor has a somewhat slick caramel sweetness, with toasted malts, hints of nuts, and lots of dark toffee. Light bitter with some roast in the aftertaste.
