Tap. Pours a cloudy amber body with a small foamy beige head. The nose is sweet caramel and fruity esters of banana and bubblegum. An interesting mix of aromas in here. The flavor is fairly classic Hefeweizen with a sweet caramel undertone. A nice level of yeastiness in here giving an addition to the flavor as well as adding to the roundness of the mouthfeel as well. Light soft carbonation and a lingering fruity finish. I was surprised to see that I hadn’t sampled this beer when I saw it on the menu on my most recent trip to the Tastin Room. So I went ahead and consumed two large hefe glasses of this tasty beer. The beer poured a cloudy and muddy dark brown color. The head was light brown in color and featured some really nice, cascading and sticky lacing. The balance and flavor of this beer were tremoundous. I tasted a subtle hint of bubble gum, but got a ton of banana. I also noted quite a bit caramel malt, rye bread, yeast and some nice floral hops. Tap inside at yesterday’s goat races. Super cloudy brown, just loaded up with yeast (and what looks like trüb, though I doubt it), lacing beige head -- looks like I lucked out with one of the last pulls! Sweet yeasty nose with light banana and yeast products, taste is medium sweet with minimal bitterness and more of the same. Medium body. Bread and wheat aroma. Hazy brown. Creamy and very malty. Bread with a little bit of yeast. Falls short a little. Lacks the estery bite to really balance the malt. Still enjoyable just not exciting.

Draft at Phoenixville. Poured brownish coppery with off-khaki head. Nose was malty, with cacao, banana, clovey limey spice, hops, mild vinous fruit. Tasted malty and spicy, with the banana, clove, and hops hitting at mid-palate, and a finishing earthy malty toffee flavor. Draught at Phoenixville BrewPub: Aroma of wheat, clove, malt, banana, and spices. Poured very dark orange/brown in color with a small, creamy, dense, tan head that disappeared, except for around the edges. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of particles throughout. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malt, wheat, light caramel, banana, cloves, and some cocoa. Medium body. Average texture. Soft to average carbonation. Medium sweet, malt, wheat, spice, banana, clove finish is lightly dry. 7.4%ABV is completely hidden throughout.
