Can from a trade with Brian. Thanks! Poured into a snifter at home. Yellow pour with slight haze and a one finger head. Bready aroma with grains and slight honey. Taste is similar with bready malts and a hint of honey notes. Light body, solid tasty finish. Good helles.

12 oz. can. Courtesy of a fellow vacationer up here in Maine. To solo cup. Pours gold with a one finger off white head. Bready malt aroma with a light background of hops. Flavor is lightly sweet with a biscuits and honey flavor. Light grassy hops and a faint spice note. Medium bodied. Goes down real easy. Enjoyable.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2014
Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a small fluffy white head that faded quickly but left decent lacing. The aroma was faintly tangy and citric with a hint of bread. The flavor was tangy, tart and citric with a bit of bread dough, sour malts and artificial sugar. Medium length finish. Medium body. Pretty awful.

Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2014
355ml can. Pours out hazy yellow with large white head. Aroma is grainy, bready, lemony. Standard lager notes so far although the lemon is nice and pervasive. Taste is honeyed malt, clove, apple. Maybe something like burnt plastic, although that makes it sound as if there’s something unpleasant going on, which there isn’t. Quite a nice lager.

In the can. Aroma is about what you’d expect for a lager, a bit sulfuric. Taste is refreshing but with a bit of tinge. The finish is long and dirty.

Appearance: deep clear gold, with one finger of creamy, fizzy bright white head. Aroma: toasted white bread, honey, creamed corn, light undertones of hay. Taste: doughy, bready, cracker, and sweet, with delicate grassy hops and a restrained hint of citrus. Finish: clean, crisp, and refreshing. Notes: As lagers go, this was extremely well-crafted.
