This is a beer to go. Soupy, nice foam, lacong, crystal clear, everything you would expect from Helles lager. I have 7-8 different types of beer and this ine is always in the fridge. pinkie (470) - New York, USA - NOV 2, 2013
Pours the color of light straw with just a tint of amber. Has a finger of creamy white foam that fell as I drank to a thin ring.Nose is malt sweetness and leafy herbal. Cheerful golden scent of grass and a bit of spice. Moderate malts on the nose. The taste is perfection. A citric crispness takes the palate to a smooth and apporachable malt sweetness. Leafy flavors with plenty of earth and a a spicy bitter. The mouthfeel is exemplary. Lively and crisp like a brisk wind. It’s sweetly breaddy and fills up your mouth to finish dry and with a touch of spice and faint bitter to linger in the aftertaste. NeroFiddled (105) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 23, 2002
Friendly. A lively tonic with bright and favorable aspects. Just what the doctor ordered.
An excellent interperetation of the Dortmund style with an impressive balance of malt and hop flavor! No flaws here. austinpowers (2828) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 5, 2003
A rather sweet lager that perhaps isn't quite a dortmunder. Golden color with a fair amount of malt. Not much bitterness to speak of. bbp182 (255) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 28, 2007
On tap at The Great American Pub and Diner. The appearance is...well...golden. Haha. Pours a nice white foamy head. It has a hoppy smell for a lager. The taste of hops is present. I think I taste some lemony sorta. Not a bad lager.

Can - from sampler pack. Very light, crystal clear. Clean, slightly hoppy aroma. Very good - good balance of malt and hops. Tastes like a German beer. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - AUG 14, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2006 Wow this is a really really light colored lager. Nice pure white lasting head though. Aroma is grainy and bready with some light pils malt. A tough of floral and herbal hops as well. Flavor is also mostly malty with a slight bitter finish. Finish is relatively smooth and very clean. Perfect summer beer. Very close to the Munich Helles style. Melanie (65) - - JAN 6, 2012
Little head, clear pale yellow. Tased like a pilsner. Nice, light-a perfect sessi

This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a slightly hazy golden yellow color with a decent transparency about it. Streams of carbonation rise at a moderate pace to fill a sly rapidly dissipating head. Leaves some light lacing roaming here and there.
The smell starts with a sweet wheat and runs into a light little kick of spice as it warms. Semi-grassy but crisp and refreshing breadiness.
The taste grabs the sweet wheat and combines it nicely into the spice, adds a little breadiness and blends into the aftertaste. There’s no finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a purely wonderful sessionability about it. Carbonation is light and gentle but still good for the style and for me.
Overall, as a Munich Helles lager, there’s nothing wrong with it. Its good and I would definitely have it again. egajdzis (6556) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 25, 2004
UPDATED: APR 1, 2013 Golden color with a small white head and no lacing. Sweet malty lagerish aroma. Light tart lemon and sweeter malt taste.
