UPDATED: OCT 19, 2008 Poured a deep amber color with no head or lacing. Aroma of flowery hops, grassy, and light malt aroma. Amazing balance here, perfect for a bitter. Juicy hops, spicy and sweet malts. I could drink this all night, I bet this is AMAZING on cask! Goodgrief (2028) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - AUG 17, 2007
Poured a golden brown with a nice head and nice lacing. Malty taste with sweet caramelly backbone ending with a surprisingly hoppy finish...much hoppier than other ESB’s I’ve had. It almost tasted like a hoppier than normal English Pale Ale more than an ESB. Very good and well balanced brew! jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - JUN 27, 2004
Copper body topped by a fine particled off-white head. Quite the sight in the glass. Light caramel and bread offset by a big dose of EKG. Very nice flavors, EKG and caramel/bready malts, very quenching and one df the better American examples of the style I have had. Medium crisp body. Another winner from these guys. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - JUN 27, 2004
Attractive bronze appearance with a doughy aroma. Strong, roasted malt flavors effectively balanced with a prominent bitterness and a fairly high abv. Mildly carbonated with a dry, nicely hopped finish.

Root beer color with a mild caramel aroma. Smooth foaming head. Burnt caramel taste with a lively mouthfeel. Would be much better in cask, but good none the less. Travlr (24667) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 29, 2014
Cask at Churchkey. Clear deep bright golden amber color, big fluffy large bubble head with good retention. Aroma of toasted caramel. Taste is crisp, clean burnt caramel. Art (3217) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 12, 2015
