750ml bottle via trade with DocLock! - Thanks Jeff! - Pours beautiful hazy golden with a tall white frothy head that clings to the sides of the tulip in sheets. Aroma of light floral hops, lemon, honey and light spice. Flavor is much more sharp, lots of lemon, brett funk, corriander, but backed well with some honey and sweet malts. Nice soft pleasant mouthfeel with good carbonation and the citrus finish leaves you refreshed. Very drinkable and one that I found easy to finish the whole 750ml bottle. I’m liking this brewer more and more as I try more of their offerings. Nice! Mangino (1027) - Mississippi, USA - MAY 23, 2006
Bottle thanks to Zathrus13. Pours a hazy pale gold color, whipped egg-white head. Aroma is pleasent, fruity with not alot of funk. Very clean. Flavor is tart and full of lemon and black pepper. Short, alcohol or burning seems to affect my liking. jcr (2726) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - MAY 22, 2006
Clear yellow with big white, big-bubbled head. Very inviting. Aroma of lemon grass and coriander. The flavor has notes of coriander, lemon and honey, all nicely balanced. A slightly peppery finish and some bitterness. The palate is soft and clean, fresh and perfectly carbonated. Moderate finish. Excellent. SpudClampDawg (1029) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - MAY 21, 2006
OK - so this is a first - a blonde, six-inch human hair was hanging from the cork when opened. Yes, this was packaged with the bottler’s hair. Yikes! Well anyway, moving on this pours a lustrous lemon with a mile-high, foamy head. Lots of lemony, wheat notes in the nose. A slight sourness as well. The body is spritzy with carbonation and is light and fruity. Honey, perfume and bready sweet malts in the body. Smooth and drinkable, minus this hair, this is really nice. wnhay (722) - Princeton, New Jersey, USA - MAY 16, 2006
Pours golden with a sizable white head and a great deal of yeast. Head retention is very good. The aroma had hints of floral hops, lemon, citrus and biscuit malts. Strong floral hop presense in the taste along with tart lemon, biscuit malts and citrus. Quite sour. Effective yet simplistic mouthfeel with a good lemon and citrus combination. Nice drink.

This saison poured out from a 750 bottle to a nice golden color with a nice white head.Taste was pretty good with flavors of citrus, malt etc.Pretty good beer. Terminus (3710) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 11, 2006
750 DLD06 tasting-clear yellow with a sudsy tight carbonation head. very floral nose with notes of lemon, light belgian funk, and tart sourness. flavors are lightly sour, tart, lemon, with a walloping dry/citric finish. has high carbonation, almost too much for this style. pretty respectible for an american brewer, but there are a few better american saisons out there. good nonetheless. Bottle DL Day: Golden hazy hue with a light fluffy head and some lace. The aroma has notes of biscuity malt, noble bitters, cardamon, funky brett and barnyard esters (is that suppose to be there?) and some pepper. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - MAY 4, 2006
The taste is nice a sour at first before a flowery and yeasty tone takes hold. A bit weizen like with wheat, clove, and banana character in mid stream before finishing tart and citric again. A interesting roller coaster of flavors that almost had me going. The problem I see with this beer is that it appears to be over carbonated which hurts the lighter hop profile.
It is very refreshing and floral enough, drinkable for sure.
750 bottle. Pours a very nice lightly hazy medium golden with a large fluffy white head that left a thick rocky lacing down the sides of the glass. Head also stuck around the whole time. Small floaties. Aroma was a mix of belgian spices, yeast, some tropical fruits, even some darker fruits, lemony and some sugary malts. Flavor was peppery up front with some grains, citrus, farmhouse, yeast, spices and banana. Tingly carbonation at first but then it smoothed out more so than others of the style. Also picked up a light bitterness. I really enjoyed this one. Glad I have another bottle to let sit around for a little while plus the fact that I live so close to the brewery! UPDATED: OCT 18, 2006 750ml bottle courtesy of zathrus13. Pours a bright yellow color with a frothy white head and very active carbonation. Yeasty banana aromas with some very evident bubblegum notes and spice. Thick malty flavor with a slight astringency. Lemongrass, spices, malt, bubblegum, clove and banana make up the flavor. Nice.
