Tap at Barcade: Golden with good clarity for a Saison, and a fading white head. Estery aroma. Has a Belgian yeast character. Fruity with some apple skin, anise and a touch of bubblegum sweetness. Carbonation is frothy, yet sticky simultaneously. Starts sweet with mild bubblegum, honey and apple-like notes. There’s a note of sweet Belgian malt in the middle followed by a spicy, grassy, peppery finish. A decent example of the style, although the flavor don’t mesh very well.

Bottle from michael-pollack. Golden pour with a thick fluffy head on top. Wheat and grainy malt in the aroma, with light grassy funk and cereal notes. A sweet yeasty bread type flavor really stands out here. That’s joined by grassy notes and some corn as well. The use of the Pils malt is evident. Not a bad beer but it lacks really any funk or complexity and kind of has a basic domestic taste to it.
