2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Dark red, thin foam. Flavor a little too strong and don’t like aftertaste, a bit of a watery finish
Can to mug, the appearance was a burnt copper/slight amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Messy lace.
The aroma had some toffee/caramel malt cake-like quality. Some grassy hops, light leather, touch of floral and dried leaves came about.
The flavor was moderately sweet and dry maltiness punching the aftertaste with a little bit of floral. Finish was dry, floral and semi-sweet.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt low, but good, I expected that. ABV cues up appropriately.
Overall, pretty good Irish ale, still needs a bit more or some herbal quality to it. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 25, 2017
Tap. Pours a clear light amber body with a small wispy beige head. The nose is sweet with toasty and husky malt, a little toffee, light leafy English hops. A little too sweet on the flavor for my taste in the style. Very light bitterness on the finish. Light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. solidfunk (8948) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JUL 17, 2015
Easy drinking, with just a touch of coppery bitterness. Dark amber pour without any head or lacing. Light bitter finish. OK. Tap at world of beer. Travlr (24745) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - FEB 13, 2015

Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a medium red colored body with a white head. The head fades fast leaving only a slight amount of lacing.
Smell – The nose is rather light. There is however a bit of sweet caramel and a little roasted malt breadiness in the nose.
Taste – The taste is quite sweet of caramel up front. As the taste advances some more bready maltiness works its way into the taste and subdues a bit of the sweetness. There is a little bit of citrus flavor that then works it way into the taste, with the taste then ending with a very light roasty flavor, not much, but it mixes well with the sweet breadiness and light citrus.
Mouthfeel – A little on the lighter side, yet very fitting for the sweetness and flavor of the brew. This coupled with a moderate level of carbonation make it very easy to drink.
Overall – Easy drinking with a nice sweeter flavor. A session brew to enjoy at the pub with some good friends.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel and toffee. Taste, to my mind, was OK, but something was slightly off. This beer lacked that special something that I like in Irish ales. Can’t really put my finger on it, but I finished this quickly to get it over with. 60minuteman (1714) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 28, 2014
A dark and hazy ruby red color, beige head and mild clinging lace. Aroma of caramel malt, sugar, malt, earth. Taste is the same but a mild variation. Pretty basic lager here, sort of a Sam Adams spiced lager...standard and safe. Not bad. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 11, 2014
On tap at the Coney. Very mild nose, light caramel and brewed tea; astringent tang note. Deep coppery amber clear with creamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Mild flavor with light astringency, nutty character. Brewed tea, herbal hop notes. Medium bitter finish and after.
