Tap at the goat race. Deep brown with a creamy tan head. Nose is yeasty with toffee and cherry, more of the same in the mouth, hint of brown sugar. Light body, semi-dry with minor bitterness, pretty well balanced. Grain of salt for my last of the day, not so much palate fatigue as too much sunshine; still, a good one, though I’d probably take the Eis’d version. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 6, 2013

On tap at Bock Fest. Fairly dark brown pour with a thin, light khaki head. Aroma is sweet caramel, toffee, and a little nutty. Flavor has plenty of toffee and caramel, hints of chocolate, plums, and vanilla. Not much hop presence but also not overly sweet. Very well balanced and quite drinkable. Pretty refreshing even on a warm day. Palate was medium bodied, smooth, and well-carbonated. Good stuff. alobar (3759) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 1, 2011
