4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle purchased at the Saratoga Springs farmer’s market. Pours yellow with a white, quickly dissipating head. Smells of pronounced semi sweet apples, touches of honey. Tastes of sweet apple, some underlying tartness, crisp with a good balance of carbonation. Full bodied. Excellent!
golden pour with a distinct amber tinge. big head which dissipates quickly. unique aroma of candy apples and buttery crisp. first sip is also unique as it carries the cider across the palate with effervescence, yet leaves a really thick, rich flavor lingering. booze filters up through the nostrils, butterscotch notes are present as well as apple brandy and a slight banana-y beer ester. this is really both complex and refreshing at the same time. the small hit of ice cider really elevates this drink. happy to have purchased this, albeit a bit pricey. Bottle from the New Amsterdam Green Market. Stiff plastic cup.
Filtered, pale ginger gold sort of color. Spritzy, quick hitting white head.
Smells of sweet, acidy apples, simple syrup, & citrus.
A lingering, round, dense sugary sweetness. Potent mellow apple flavor. Green grapes. Hint of citrus.
Good acid, so-so tartness. Syrupy body. Decent carbonation, but a bit too sweet & one-sided, even for this diabetic in training.
