COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sommer Fling (formerly Uber) hefe is our traditional German-style hefeweizen that pours cloudy with a straw color and a white, fluffy head. It imparts an aroma with faint bready and spicy notes from the use of wheat and German noble hops; however, the aroma is dominated by cloves with bubblegum. It tastes slightly of bananas balanced with clove phenolics. Overall, this is an effervescent and refreshing beer perfect for enjoying outside as we welcome warm weather.

Can: Hazy, bubbly, yellow with a thick off-white head. Taste is pretty wheaty.....lemon, wheat malt, banana, clove. Fairly well-bodied and not bad in taste....at first....but I agree with Shrubber85.....a bit of black plastic Hefty bag nuances at the finish.

On tap at the brewery, pours a hazy sunset gold with a ring of white head. Nose has stone fruits, apricots, perfume. Flavor is sweet, some floral notes, stone fruits, peach ring candies. Sweet finish.

shrubber85 (11506) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 12, 2017
Can. Orange, banana, clove, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet orange, banana, clove, wheat malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Okay body. Plastic aftertaste. Would have been good if not for plastic.

on tap at Watermans Restaurant in Virginia Beach; hazy gold color; light, spicy aroma; spicy clove is the dominant flavor; a decent hefewiezen; refreshing; well balanced; light fruity banana notes, but leaning more towards the clove side of the hefe yeast spectrum

Draft at The Hilton in Norfolk, VA. Hazy yellow body with an inch of white head. Aromas of raw, cracked grains. Mashed banana, clove. Grainy with mild sweetness. Just a bit off. Lacks the amazing drinkability I associate with a great hefeweizen.

obguthr (6528) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - DEC 5, 2016
Can: Banana, lemon, and clove nose, evident but not strong. Clear amber, thin head. Lemon and wheat flavor, mild peppery coriander finish. Medium body, easy carbonation. A good attempt at the style from an American brewer.

375ml can into Hefe glass, served cold Aroma: White bread, spice, dried fruit. Straightforward, uncomplicated and light. Appearence: Lightly hazed pale gold. Quickly dissipating white head, little to no lacing. Taste: Not too yeasty. A little white pepper, more spice-driven than fruit. Still, light enough to be refreshing. Palate: Light, clean, high effervescence. Very prickly! Overall: I wanted a nice summer hefe to enjoy on a hot day, and while I personally prefer the nice, classic, banana flavor, there is nothing wrong with this guy. I like it!
