Draft in Brevard. Clear dark brown color, small tan head. Aroma of light roast. Taste is roasty and bitter. Like a nice light stout. fata2683 (2176) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAY 24, 2013

Dispensed to a shaker at the World of Beers in Naperville, IL., showing an opague, black/brown color, with a dense layer of light tan, persistent & moussy head foam, and wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was dry, roasted coffee, smooth malt, and a hint of hazelnut. The flavor was more espresso-like, continued the dryness, presented a medium, moderately earthy, and lingering hop bitterness, with soft carbonation, in a medium body. No perceptible sweetness throughout, but showed a nice, clean, lager character. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 7, 2012
On nitrogen at Jerry’s. Black with creamy beige head / Toasty, clean nose of coffee and hazelnut / Medium body, creamy, malty with some chew, very dry, good balance and bitterness on the finish / Straight-forward, subdued flavors of coffee, unsweetened chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel / Good character to this lager.
