Golden hazy body and a large rocky head. Aroma of fruits, flowers, hay, pine and citrus. The taste is light to medium sweet and medium to heavy bitter. Medium body, oily feel, average carbonation and a long bitter finish. BlackHaddock (7232) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2012
33cl Dumpy bottle, well in date, poured into a ’Hoegaarden Grand Cru’ badged stemmed tulip.
The sediment stayed in the base of the bottle, so the glass held a dull golden bodied beer with a large white head on top: loads of carbonisation bubbles rising through the almost clear body.
Belgian yeasty aroma, some sweetness in there too.
The taste is a little too clean and clinical to me, no honest farmhouse feel to the flavours, no bits to get into, not your regular Belgian craft/country brewed beer at all.
This is obviously well made and lovingly cared for, but it defeats what I love about going to Belgium, finding and bringing back beers that challenge the tastebuds and enhance my beer enjoyment. bierkoning (13243) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - MAR 28, 2012
Bottle. Murky Brown color. Malt, citrus and speculaas in THE aroma. Malty sweet, spicy yeasty alcoholic flavor with speculaas. Thinnish. Disappointing. vickey9 (999) - Brussels, BELGIUM - FEB 4, 2012
Unfiltered amber with creamy head. Pepper& lemon & mostly honey nose. Full body, decent carbon. Sweet taste. Herbs, summer flower field, herbs and quina. Bitter aftertaste. Excellent. BH planky84 (3214) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2012
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Bright amber pour with a white head. Tropical fruit aroma with hints of tangerine and vanilla. Mouth watering fruity flavours, plenty of citrus and a little sweet spice. Bitter hop burst on the palate. Quite dry. Fruity, hop filled finish. Interesting.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a white foam. Aromas are brown sugar and caramel with earthy, woody notes and grapefruit. Quite leafy with pine and spices. Flavours are perfumed with bitter lemon and yeast. Very peppery and dry on the finish. Good. ContemplateBeer (2089) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - DEC 11, 2011
Aroma of pepper, lemon, white grape and dough. Appearance is unfiltered amber with creamy bone head. Flavor is quite peppery up front, like a Saison, but also has some light fruity esters intertwined with dough; the finish is quite herbal. Palate is chewy and endlessly effervescent, like all the great Belgian ales. Excellent. Ober (2812) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - OCT 27, 2011
A clear golden colored beer, with a big white head. The aroma of malts with fruits like citrus. The taste is malty sweet. It has bitter in the back and notes of spices. The aftertaste is bittersweet with some spices. Bart (2938) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JUL 14, 2011
Clear blond coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a huge white head. Fresh hoppy hinted light herby aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is light bitter with a sweeter grassy ending. Not bad.
