7 Lovely fruity peachy fleshy fruit aroma.
4 Hazy light orange, brief frothy head.
7 Full fruity esters, but loads of barky bitterness too. Some lightish grains, but some liquorice too, so the malts are covering all bases.
4 Full, but quite uplifting palate, pleasant carbonation. Finish is a very serious kick of liquorice which lasts for a very long time. Some saltiness and iron in the long finish.
14 Delicious belgian ale, has plenty of saison features too. Fresh and uplifting. Absolutely no sense of the 7% alcohol at all.

Smiske R-Ale [email protected]
2011: “truesteamdryhoped” version, where a Hop Randall was used, I tried the version with Cascade hops, earlier in the day, poured a very cloudy, hazy orange, the structure was very grainy, chewy-like, taste was very strong on dry hops, followed by citrus, oranges & some yeast, with the dry hops leading to a very bitter aftertaste, it was like a hop, citrus-flavoured milkshake, all over the place, very unbalanced but very interesting & lovely
[3/6/11] Draught at ZBF 2011. As "Smiske R-Ale" poured through a Randall. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of fruit esters (banana, apples and more) and a bit of citric notes. Slightly strange flavor with yeast, fruits, something I can’t put my finger on and some slightly unpleasant phenols. Finishes bitter with some hops. Medium-bodied. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAR 8, 2011

, Stockholm. Slightly hazy orangeish golden colour, small beigeish head. Aroma is fruits, sweet malts, mild herbal notes as well as some quite pleasant earthy spicyness. Wellbalanced and quite bodied.
Tasted the R-ale at ZBF. Light cloudy orange coloured, a medium sized head that holds ok. The smell is a bit hard to get at first, but the beer was served to cold I think. Hops, and citrus fruits. The taste was refreshing, bitter hops with citrus, some yeast also. While warming a more sweet taste started to comes up through the sour-biterness, with soms spices finds his way trough also. Draught (Pressklubben, Stockholm, shared by Omhper, thanks) - Hazy golden with a white head. Fruity, yeasty and hoppy aroma with notes of lemon and some musty elements detected. Sweet, fruity and hoppy taste with more citrus notes and some spicy elements. Not bad, if nothing remarkable. omhper (25154) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 14, 2011
Draught at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Hazy golden, small head. Floral nose with loght notes of cellar. Mid sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel, lightly spritzy. A bit of salt, dust, orange and cellar. Salty bitterish finish. WisconsinBeer (716) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - FEB 12, 2011
Bottle. Hazy yellow orange, massive whipped eggwhite foamy head. Flavor is pale malts, bread and a hint of yeast. Nice mild backbone of candi sugars and a fresh hop profile to dry it out a bit. Solid easy sipping Belgian pale ale. Tasty. Tripplebrew (778) - Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA - FEB 12, 2011
Pours a very hazy lemon orange with extremely think frothy white head. Aroma is a lot of bitter citrus (grapefruit) and some grainy metallic notes with cereal aroma as well. Flavor is very bready with undertones of caramel and brown sugar/candi sugar. Cotton candy flavors come out. Coriander present. Body is creamy but full of carbonation.
