NikkTwist (3223) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 15, 2014
Draft at Moriartys in August 2014 (but have had a million times before!) The pre-Diageo recipe was less refined but much more interesting. As of today (and trying to look at blindly what for me is the standard Irish Red Ale) - Clear dark ruby pour that starts with a large foamy white head. Nutty and malty. Brazil nut shells. Plum pudding. Mild dark caramel toffee. Cloves. Toasted whole wheat bread. Gentle dark red fruits. Slightly burnt grapefruit rinds. Bing cherry. Red plums. Tinge of charcoal. Wee bit tart. Body reads too thin and watery. Memories of the earlier version read it as less fruit (no tart) and fuller nuttier toffee flavors. Juicier now, but less solid. Still a go to for me, but better halved with Guinness.

ekstedt (6773) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 3, 2014
Draught at Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg, Sweden. CLear copper, medium creamy tan head. Nutty, caramelly malt aroma, some floral hops. Light bodied, low carbonation. Semi dry, low bitterness.

[email protected] Arms Gustov Adolfs, Malmo - amber pour with medium white head. Aroma and taste is pretty weak malty, faint caramel, toffee, slightly nutty.

Mild ale. Not too hoppy or malty. Caramel taste. Reminds me of buddington or kilkenny...

Not at all my style. Wayyyy too light on the pallet. Spicy. Not any hop. All malt.

Renobob (2064) - Besançon, FRANCE - MAY 12, 2014
Bue à la pression. Très douce, très légère, arômes de caramel et de fruits rouges. Sympa si on aime les bières peu fortes en alcool.

cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - MAY 2, 2014
Poured from bottle, pours a clear dark red brown with a thin head, aroma is of sweet caramel with a hint of skunk mixed in too, weird, the flavor has a smooth caramel front end with a sweeter finish, still pretty thin through out though, tick tick, this mix 6 beer lasted almost 6 months in my fridge, should have drank this earlier I’m assuming.

Erzengel (8743) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - APR 25, 2014
On Tap. The Beer starts smooth, easy to drink with not much flavour. The mainpart is smooth, slightly malty. The aftertaste is smooth, a bit neutral, dry. --> nothing great... 8/12/7/8
