2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
14.9 oz can, part of a Guinness "soccer" variety pack. Not sure what the Red Stripe is doing in that collection. Anyway, this "pale ale" sure isn’t what Americans now consider a pale ale. Not that American rule the world. Anyway, this beer pours a very light golden color with very little head and lacing. The nose is a little sour, with some light malt and bread notes. The body is kinda smooth, but the flavors are, for the most part, bland. I get more bready and malty flavors than hops. It’s a drinkable and slightly enjoyable beer, but not one that I would hunt down with great anticipation of drinking again.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
0.5l bottle. This is one of those crystal clear golden looking ones with a nice, really nice big lacing almost a little fluffy white head on top. Looks nice, smells like butter. A little bit of wet dog also here, but this is a butter bomb in the aroma. Pale sweet malts and butter caramel. A mild hints of something that could be hops. It’s by all means not a horrible aroma, but way to much of the butter. It tastes surprisingly OK. Easy to drink. A mild grassy bitterness combined with thin caramel and again, butter and wet dog. Drinkable, but not something I will be having again. 25.10.2014

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500 ml bottle, from SPAR Hana. ABV is 4.5%. Brewed with Amarillo hops. Clear golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of fruity hops, some earthy notes too. Light bodied. Medium dry flavour, bland start, a little fruit, tolerable hops in the finish. Very little complexity. Not really bad, but there are better ales out there. Won’t spend money on more of this one.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours clear golden with small head. Sweet aroma. The flavour straight out of the fridge is pleasantly hopyy and bitter, but as the beer warms just a little, a wet cardboard taste permeates the brew. Uh. Average, I guess.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle picked up at my local Prix store. Loose white head to a clear amber coloured body. Mild malt-fruity aroma. Brown malty flavours alongside moments of ginger and leafy hops. Restrained bittersweet tail. Medium to thin bodied. Soft on the swallow. Satisfying (shared with fiends, Tromsø 08.11.2014).
