I had a few pints of this excellent beer in Hargadons in Sligo (the only pub in Sligo stocking it apparently). As a big fan of English real ale, I normally steer well clear of mass produced ’gassy’ beers but found that in Sligo real ale doesn’t exist, so I gave this a try. I’m no beer expert so can’t give a ’technical’ review, but found this beer to have exactly the right level of bitterness and enough carbonation to keep the beer fresh throughout the pint. It reminded me of Marstons Double Drop. Very drinkable.

This was a super beer, and one I’m very proud to say that I had the privilege to bring you the first review of. Pours a light amber, clear. More amber than the ad’s might lead one to believe. The aroma is very, very pleasing. There’s notes of citrusy yogurt almost, like a Hoegaarden might have. There’s also the resounding malt and hop from the fast dissipating head. On first taste you realize the care that went into the malt that they so treasure. There is a beautifully smooth compliment of it and hops at the back of the mouth that just leave you gagging for the next sip. Maybe it’’s not overly complex with regards to bitterness or sourness but it does the basics very, very well. Don’t forget those subtle floral/citrus notes shining through with just enough give for the base flavor. Body is very well balanced with abv and alcohol ruining complexity is a non-issue. Overall I’d say this is a very good all year round beer, may be enjoyed with wholesome meals. But as the Irish tend to do, the overwhelming characteristic is balance, with a worryingly gorgeous drink-ability.

Jak na globalne piwo to jest super. Bardzo wytrawne pachnace wyraznie aromatycznym chmielem, Jasne slody, jasny kolor i biala spora pianka, srednio trwala ale zachowujaca fajny aromat piwa. W smaku niby delikatne, ale porzadnie chmielne i wytrawny dlugi finisz. Butelka i etykieta to pelna elegancja

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2014 Pours a light amber with a thick white head that dissipates. Nose is strong apricot (!). Palate is medium body with an elusive sweetness and apricots balanced with a bitterness that lingers but does not overwhelm. Wonder what hops are used. 14.9 oz can in an 8-can variety pack.

Draught @ various places in Dublin. Also in bottles. Light coloured ale with fine head. Really nice citrus like taste from the hops. Really refreshing. This was the beer that made an impression on me during my recent trip in Dublin.

Poured from the tap. The appearance is a clear light brown color with a large white head. The aroma is full of grains and has a slight sweet scent. The taste is a very good blended grain flavor.

bottles from gormelys centra. citrus on the nose. crisp pale flavor . nice head and lacing throughout. a decent session beer. although not overly complex and too dry for my liking. giving you a very dry aftertase that lasts. must try brew with Amarillo hops and recreate similar myself.

From the 14.9 fl. oz can L3115GE001-07:55. It pours golden to pale yellow with a white head that settles back after a few moments. Loads of caramel toasted malts on the nose along with grass and butter. Some earthy hops. The body is light and refreshing. The taste is mildly grainy at first followed by a clean, crisp hop finish reminiscent of a pilsener. But it was delightful on this 92 degree afternoon.
