Thisis12ptfont (1241) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - JAN 28, 2018
Aromas of cough syrup, pepto bismal, molasses, cough drops, aged malts, crystallized caramel, oak, tree sap, honey, bourbon, barrel wood, sweet sugared tangerine, apricot, port wine and alcohol sugars. Pours a deep crimson with almost no foam or lacing whatsoever. Taste brings mellow-dramatic notes of aged wort malt, cough syrup, sugary tangerine, apricot, caramel, oak, barrel wood, corn syrup, vanilla, candied caramel and barrel wood. Finishes with minimal booze and a thin body. Overall, aroma leads up to disappointment. Much more presence in the aroma while the body is very thin and slim noted.

Maakun (6951) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - NOV 3, 2017
Bottle shared at THT November. Clear chestnut with small beige head that leaves almost no trace. Quite some bourbon, vanilla, sweet coffee, butterscotch, alcohol, sweet malts. Creamy and it has a nice aroma but also loads of booze. Quite sweet at first but it gets overtaken by bitter alcohol. Almost full bodied with soft carbonation. Nice aroma but hard to drink.

Tasting at SF, Vancouver; vintage 2017
Dark amber color, the head reduces to a small creamy head. Boozy aroma, some small, not really elegant. Medium body strength, because of the extreme boozy character, malt, cloying esters, buttery popcorn, warming booze in the final.
Excessive.

500ml @ the office. Pours a semi clear medium brown colour with a thin beige head. Nose is very woody and bourbon with a sweet malty character lingering in the background. Flavour is similar, woody and bourbon dominating while not excessively hot, and some caramel.

mcberko (20285) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 21, 2017
500mL bottle, pours a dark orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, caramel and lot of bourbon. Flavour is loaded with bourbon barrels, with caramel and brown sugar. Very barrel-heavy and sweet. Very nice stuff.
