Tasting at SF, Vancouver; vintage 2017
Dark amber color, the head reduces to a small creamy head. Boozy aroma, some small, not really elegant. Medium body strength, because of the extreme boozy character, malt, cloying esters, buttery popcorn, warming booze in the final.

500ml @ the office. Pours a semi clear medium brown colour with a thin beige head. Nose is very woody and bourbon with a sweet malty character lingering in the background. Flavour is similar, woody and bourbon dominating while not excessively hot, and some caramel.

mcberko (18557) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 21, 2017
500mL bottle, pours a dark orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, caramel and lot of bourbon. Flavour is loaded with bourbon barrels, with caramel and brown sugar. Very barrel-heavy and sweet. Very nice stuff.

Oakes (18517) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 21, 2017
Light brown, lots of head. Decent bourbon nose, and some sort of light figgy stuff. Sweet, lots of figgy notes. A touch of light chocolate character. This one doesn't 100% come across balanced...and it's funny because I can't pinpoint it.

Draft at the source. As Smog City Bourbon O.E. Clear amber, light beige head. Aroma of malt, oak and booze. Taste is caramel, oak, bourbon, vanilla. Boozy finish.

Heavy molasses throughout this beer. Flavor is sweeter than i like, but the body is full and tasty.

neepsntatties (2028) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 28, 2017
Bottle. Colour...dark amber with a thin head. Nose...very Bourbony with dates, oak, brown sugar and dark toffee. Palate...dry, oaky, sappy and heady with a hefty grab of booze and a smack of tannins. The mid palate is hot and biting but teems with turbinado and maple candies. The finish is long and warming.

j12601 (13027) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 28, 2017
On tap at the brewery. Pours a softly almost hazed amber with a thin tan head. Big and boozy on the nose, plum, prune, a heap of musk and fruit. Medium bodied, big and boozy, like a pile of dehydrated fruit, loads of malt, fruit, lots of faint cocoa, a hefty amount of fruit, plum. Big, softly boozy with a good amount of effervescent notes. Cocoa, malt, roast, chocolate. Big, boozy, sweet. Delicious, but full of maple and booze.

Tap at Beer mongers. A: Mahogany body with a light mocha head that dissipates into nothing. N: Toffee, vanilla, caramel, toast, bourbon, oak, earth, and biscuit. T: Sweet but not cloying. Very English. M:Heavy, sticky body, no alcohol, softer carbonation, O: Very good. This is another winner, and another beer which I’d like to investigate further.

On tap at Beermongers. Pours a clear reddish color with a small white head. A big sweet bourbon nose. The flavor is big sweet vanilla, bourbon, sugary, hot, leather, toast.
