Tap at the Library Alehouse. Pours a deep brown with a medium bubbly tan head that left spotty lacing. Aroma of fresh ground coffee, toasted and roasted malt along with milk chocolate. Flavor of chocolate covered espresso beans. The mix of coffee meets chocolate is excellent. One of the top coffee beers I have had.
Fles van Beer Republic. Koffie, koffiekoekjes, beetje drop. Redelijk bitter. Iets teveel koolzuur. Vrij droog in de nasmaak. ShivanDragon (4649) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - OCT 23, 2017
sample from bottle @ZZT 2017 at Benzai's, shared by TheJvd, pours black with a nice khaki head. aroma of an enormous amount of coffee, beans, roasted, chocolate. Taste has also a dominant coffee base, lots of carbo also, some hops, chocolate, roasted and toasted malts, pretty sweet, however a bit thin, slightly acidic, probably of the coffee, still nice, medium body. 77ships (11413) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 22, 2017
Thanks to TheJvd! Bottle sampled as “Smog City Coffee Porter” @ ZZT 2017. Black. Nose is very heavy chocolate massive coffee roast, coffee totally dominates. Taste is huge coffee, massive, rather bitter almost herbal, bark, some cacao, interesting & nice but too much coffee & little elements for me, it is very coffee. Very thick bodied. Nice but could use a bit more balance for me but bigger coffee lovers might appreciate it more. mkel07 (6462) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 21, 2017
On tap at Venice Ale House on 15 October 2017. There is no doubt that this Porter has coffee in it as you can smell the coffee straight up and there is a coffee bean bitterness in the flavour as well. Black in colour with a tan coloured head. Bitter aftertaste in the mouth but not unpleasant. Benzai (16783) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 21, 2017
Sampled from bottle shared @ ZZT 2017. Opaque black color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, coffee, soft roast, light chocolate, moderately bitter. Quite nice.
