Draft - Nice smokey sweet notes. Clear gold with a small head. Nice sweet smoke and a light body. Definately a well done session smoked, while still being aggressive. Troupis (251) - - JAN 16, 2015
Over-the-top smokiness to start but finishes well. Perfect with a lot of foods but not great on its own for its boldness. But really good with food almost as a continuation of eating. Aroma doesn't match the taste in strength for me (wife disagrees).
On tap at Bru in Lake Forest, CA.

Clear orange amber in a one-finger off-white head, modest retention and lace. Big smoky aroma dominates, accompanied by modest citrus and cured meats. Moderate malt sweetness. Medium body, light carbonation and a lingering sweetness and plenty of smoke in the finish. Ontape (471) - Valley Village, California, USA - OCT 25, 2014
On tap. ABV listed at 5.8%. Pours amber, not much head, very clear. Big smoke nose with lager yeast behind. Drinks very clean: smoke and raisin notes up front. A bit sweet but overall balanced; smoke is strong but not overwhelming. TylerGreenDC (953) - - OCT 23, 2014
On draft. Like so many weak-tea rauchbiers, this one is more raisin in aroma and flavor than smoke. Too sweet. A tentative example of the style. Finishes crisply, at least.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a nice clear golden color with a white head. The aroma is fruity, salty and smoked with some jerky. The flavor is nice with good jerky smoke character and a decent caramel malt backbone. The smoke takes center stage but is off set nicely with the maltiness. Very impressive. Tap at the Newhall Refinery. Pour is clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is smoke and biscuit malt. Flavor is lightly smokey, bready, biscuity maltiness. Finish is light smoked maltiness. At 7% this one was quite sessionable and very dangerous, great beer! brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 18, 2013
On tap @ Smog City. Amber in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is smoke, bacon, salt, and sweet fruits. Bready malt and a bit of orange peel. Flavor is fairly sweet, surprisingly. Salty, smokey meat (bacon). Fairly citrusy/orange peel notes. Sweet bread and perhaps apple.
