Clear medium to dark amber colour. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dried fruit, wood, toffee notes, smoke notes. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, wood, dried fruit, smoke notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2012 Bottle from Coppers in Newcastle. A black beer with rich red fruity, chocolate and slight smoked flavours. Leather, liquorice and sweetness on the finish. One of Madcap’s better beers.
