8th June 2008. A little bit sour with a tart well blended cherry undertone. Not so much a cherry beer as a tart fruity ale.

Tap at Blind Tiger. A bit underrated I would say. Pours a dark amber with a creamy, off-white head. Lots of lacing. A light aroma with notes of sweet malt and bread. More sweeness in the flavor. A nice fruit character: Some cherry and strawberry, along with mild tartness in the finish and whip cream. Medium bodied, a little tart and with mild bite. Mild malt caramel and fruity aftertaste. Nice. Refreshing. Crisp.

Interesting ale. Cidery orange pour. Very strong tart cherry juice taste. Rated 8/14/08

(12oz bottle, best by July 2007) Small off-white head atop clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, spicy, some cherry and cherry sour, light orange, tin. Taste is mild sweet, sour cherry, some wood, earthy/spicy, light metallic. Light-medium body, light acidity.

Lubiere (13898) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 25, 2007
A rather hazey rosey amber ale with a thin white head. A pleasantly sweet light cherry aroma with citrusy notes and some caramel. In mouth, a sour wheat beer with notes of maraschino cherries. Refreshing. 1$ bottle at Spirithaus, May 2007.

Drake (13726) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 7, 2009
12 ounce bottle from Wine and Beer Westpark in Richmond, VA. Pours a clear cherry red, appropriately enough. Medium head with moderate head retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet cherries with grainy bread notes. Taste is cherries and green apple with a bitter finish. Medium bodied.

12oz bottle-pours a thick retaining off white head that laces and amber color. Aroma is fruit, wheat/grain. Taste is sweet fruit-cherry on the syrupy side, grain/malt, secondary/faint hops bite. Medium body. Good carbonation.

On tap at Hop Devil Grill. Getting more dunkel and dark beer taste, did not know cherry and did not get cherry. Creamy head with lace.

On tap at Bacchus. Pours a lightly hazy ruby orange brown with a medium sized almost pink hued beige head. Fruit, sweet pear candy, little tangy, caramel. Medium bodied, almost tangy floral sweetness. Some sort of esters going on here that I can’t quite place. Definitely perplexing. Finishes up with more fresh plum sweetness and tartness.

Bottle from Wooniski Bev in Burlington, VT. Pours a redish/amber coor with a medium head. Aroma is malty and some fruit. I think I can smell cherries, but I dont know if I would have known if blind folded. Taste is a bit tart and certainly has some neat cherry flavor. I dont think this is world class, but it is better than it has been rated. Certainly a fun beer to try.
