puzzl (3260) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 23, 2010
Tap at EBF. Over-bocked (?), skunky, slimy sweetness. Notes of flowers and spoiled milk. This beer sucked. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - MAY 20, 2010
Draft @ EBF. Golden pour with some white head. Oxidation, cardboard, with some toasty, sweet and light malt notes. Alcohol is only slightly covered by the sweetness in the malt. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 22, 2010
Tap at EBF 2010. POurs a mostly clear bright coppery orange with a decent thin white head. Aroma is a bit solvent and ethanol, big syrupy honey malts, big toast, and sweet condensed pils malts- hay earth, some grass and vegetal with light hops. Flavor is sweet, almost syrupy but the alcohol cuts it a bit, sweet, honey, big toasty bready malts, carapils amped up, some pils, earth, green veges, and solvent in the end. Some parts were ok, but the alcohol gets in the way. Jblauvs (1358) - Chester, Vermont, USA - MAR 15, 2010
EBF Session 2
Golden pour with a light head. Aroma is super boozey and sweet.
Flavor is unrestrained booze with some concentrated sweet maibock - a bit oxidized and with no real depth. Thin watery mouthfeel.
Really not good. Experiment gone wrong Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAR 10, 2010
EBF. Pours a golden body with a white head. Plummy and mothy, really it tastes very oxidized, dry cardboard. Funky fruit tones, this is an experiment gone horribly wrong.
PilsnerPeter (3049) - Flushing, New York, USA - MAR 4, 2010
EBF 2010 Session One: Hazy orange pour with an off white film of head. Big biscuity aroma with some caramelized German pale malts. There’s also a hint of faded hops in there as well. Creamy body- with a richly sweet doughy pale malt presence. Some apparent alcohol flavors and faded hops. The back is peppery from both muted Noble hops and alcohol. Needs a bit of refining. Too much ethanol presence.
