COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Smuttynose IPA is a physical salute to the glory of the American hop grower. The citrusy hop flavor coming from a mixture of Simcoe and Santiams is pleasantly balanced by a smooth bitterness from the Amarillo hops. The beer itself is light bodied and crisp with a golden color that will throw a slight haze, as we bottle it unfiltered. At 65 IBUs, this is definitely not a training-wheels IPA, but is meant for hop lovers looking to satisfy their craving in a way thats not easy to find. We think theyll be quite pleased.

This draft brew from a beer bar poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent golden orange colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was musty and malt hop. The sharp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of bitter mild citrus and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

What to say about this beer? Well the bottle itself makes you curious. In the glass the beer looks hazy and has a nice foamlayer. It smells a bit fruity, it tastes a bit fruity but it is the bittersweet aftertaste that convinces me.

Bottle. Hazy golden body, big beige head with ok retention and lacing. Strong fruity aroma of oranges, grapefruit zest, peaches, mango and passion fruit. Moderately bitter kick upfront: grapefruit zest, pine needles, orange candies, mango. Good.

Kivritehtaankadulla 4/2016. Balanced and fresh India pale ale. Maybe nothing very special, very good anyway.

Pours golden amber orange with a one finger white head with good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, grassy hops, herbal hops, some dankness, bready sweet malts, and light caramel. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, moderately bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty, well balanced, east coast style IPA.
