Tap at BT. Aroma and taste is almost all oak. Light thin body with some honey sweetness. Not too much alcohol. This was mostly oak for me. Very light bourbon and vanilla. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 16, 2008
Tap at Blind Tier. Hot, vegetal, sucrose aroma. Light bourbon, good complexity. Super hot flavor, unbelievably hard to drink, this beer just fights against your mouth. Still retains its bock flavors with some 50% bourbon overwhelming it. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - JUN 15, 2008

Tap at Blind Tiger. Hazy orange-yellow beer with a white head. Aroma is quite caramelly. A very soft oaky vanilla character. Lots of bourbon, vanilla and sweet woodiness. There is also a light apricot fruitiness. It’s slightly peppery and a little bit chewy. I quite like it, although I can see how other people might not.

Tap at Barcade: Pours orange with a white thin ring for head. Straight forward aroma. Mainly a piney oak character, but it’s presence is perfect. Very silky & creamy mouth feel. Solid oakiness all throughout without being overpowering. Woody and mildly piney upfront, followed by a bourbon-ish oak middle and a soft, subtle sweet malt touch toward the finish. A solid and very balanced Oakey Bock beer.
