Pours a clear deep amber color with a full off white head that shows moderate retention and lace. Smells of grass, citrus, and tropical fruit with a nice shot of bready caramel to back it up. The flavor follows the aroma quite well. Smooth citrus, mango, a hint of pineapple against a solid crackery biscuit with a hint of brown sugar and caramel. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick grainy sweet mouthfeel. Nice fresh hop ale, thanks for sharing this tonight Dave! auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - OCT 20, 2012
On tap at Beervana - Cranston, RI. This was a really juicy and wet beer. The hops were incredibly pungent and green. It wasn’t a chlorophyll mess, but a concentration of fresh, never-dried lupulin. There’s a hint of muskiness and sweatiness that adds intrigue, without getting oniony. A nice amber base to keep everything up. More great work from Smuttynose. thornecb (5995) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 19, 2013
Pours deep amber into a shaker. Off-white head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Tropical fruit and resin aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel and summer fruit upfront turning to pine and resin in the dry, lasting finish. mikem409 (2027) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - DEC 7, 2012

Aroma: The nose is hoppy and caramel mostly, the wet hops come through nicely
Appearance: It pours a dark amber color with a frothy dark beige head and coating lace
Flavor: The taste is balance between sweetness and hop bitterness, though it leans slightly bitter
Palate: The body is medium, it is smooth and clean, with a good drinkability, and a somewhat dry finish
I thought this was a very solid one from Smutty. It is super easy to drink, and it has a nice hop component from the Wet hops. I read this was Smutty’s first time using wet hops, and I thought that this was a very nice first foray into it.
Tap at alewife as part of nacho festivael. pours amber with beige head and a pungent nose of wet hops. tastes plenty hoppy and dank, with citrus , caranel, earth, ginger, leaves, and herbs. pretty interesting brew i would enjoy again BeerFlavoredBeer (254) - New Hampshire, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Had it on tap at the Barley Pub, Dover. Excellent, hoppy amber. Great aroma and a smooth but complex taste. radagast83 (8200) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Draft at Novemberfest at Rustico last weekend. Poured a relatively clear amber-orange color with a slightly off-white head. Aroma was plenty of citrus, with tropical fruit notes and some caramel sweetness. Flavor was tropical fruit citrus notes, light malts. This was light and crisp, highly enjoyable. Brown amber pour at the Alehouse.
Aroma is dank earthy hop with some zippy citrus and sweet grass. Creamy, refreshing in the mouth. Flavor is bursting with grassy, and for lack of a better word herbaceous, hops and sweet, but not sticky, malt. Super Dank, earthy, and juicy. I like it. kraddel (8616) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - FEB 4, 2015
Pours black, small grey head. No real scent. Taste is bitter, chocolate hints, roasted malts. Freah and easy drinkable. Almost like a wood ending, but different.
