Cask at Barcade: Hazy orange pour with a sticky lacing. The aroma has some subtle anisette notes, hints of straw and a light apricot fruitiness in the soft hop presence. Mildly carbonated and smooth bodied. The flavor is light, but elegant. Has grainy malt hints upfront, followed by mildly sweet licorice suggestions and a soft apricot hop presence. The finish has a smooth bitterness. Really easy going and tasty stuff. LilBeerDoctor (4193) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 9, 2009
On tap at Blind Tiger. Pours orange with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet fruits and light spices. Flavor of pale malts, sweet fruits, and coffeecake. Pretty good, I didn’t get any rice though. Easy drinking.7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5) ryan (3185) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - JUN 29, 2010
Hazy pale body with a small white head. Some herbal and floral hops in the nose, some honey and doughy malts, and just a touch of pear. The taste is lightly sweet, lightly bitter with dough, citrus, herbs and clean yeast. Medium body is round with moderate carbonation. Jblauvs (1357) - Chester, Vermont, USA - JUL 11, 2010
Tap at Smuttfest, Novares Res.
I Was hesitant to try this, as I usually dont enjoy rice beer, However the Aroma immedeately turned me back on to it. Largely floral hoppiness, with hints of fleshy pit fruit. Mouthfeel is thin but appropriate, very refreshing. Flavor is light, some more floral and now grassy hop character with light rice malt and some hints of peach. Not bad at all. Served on draft at Capital Ale House Downtown, Richmond, VA. Pours a hazy peach color with a medium tight creamy head. Good head retention and excellent lacing. Grainy aroma with notes of rice, banana and other fruity notes. The taste is nutty, rice, peack, pear, banana and a grainy finish. Medium bodied. Interesting, pleasant.

I picked up this from the Greenville Beer Exchange on a trip to South Carolina recently. Apparently it was bottled at the end of last year and I figured I’d give it a shot. A bomber growler if you will. The aroma is mild but inviting, showing a mix of caramel malt, floral notes, grain, and citrus. Dark gold color with a nice thick off-white head pouring on top. A thin blanket lasts mostly throughout. I have to be honest, considering when this was "bottled" I didn’t expect it to have held up at all. But this is pretty good stuff. The flavor is this sweet grainy taste but with a funky twist and some herbal notes mixing in. Maybe a little lavender? The finish is spicy and slightly dry with lingering funky yeast. It’s almost like they took a Blonde Ale and funked it up a bit. Yeah, pretty solid. kmweaver (3208) - Petaluma, California, USA - MAY 13, 2008
Draft @ Max’s. Pours a hazy, honey-golden color; white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Citrus, sugar, and basic malts in the aroma; a solid hoppiness present as well; citrus and minerals. Medium mouthfeel: citrus and mineral hoppiness; lively, zesty hop character; some resins; pleasant bitterness with some toasty malts and a touch of sugar; dry overall, and solidly drinkable, if a bit one-dimensional. Lengthy finish: sugar, toasty malts, and bread. EricE (1372) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 13, 2008
Light pale gold color. Clear with a white head. Some sweet fruit and hops on the aroma. Slight fruitiness on the tongue with a little bit of sweetness. A little bit of malt and hops to finish. Nice easy to drink beer. rocbyter (2159) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - JUN 15, 2008
On tap at blind tiger. Light malt aroma with very slight hop and grain hints. Light cloudy orange yellow color. Mild sweet taste with a mild hop flavor late in the finish. fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 13, 2009
Tap at BT last week. Aroma of lime, citrus, light hop spice, grainy malt. Flavor still quite limy with that grainy malt and maybe a hint of rice on the end? Not a standout, but enjoyable.
