Draft for the barrel’s5 year anniversary. Pours a murky dark reddish color with minimal head. Nose full if cotton candy, green raisins and some dusty Munich malt character. Holy super sweet and cloying. Lots of alcohol warning a d not much character otherwise. Meh. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 10, 2010
A-pours a dark ruby redy, hues of brown, slightly hazy. the head is white with yellow edges, creamy in appearance leaving a decent lacing.
S-malt forward, caramel, toffee, notes of soy souce, dark fruits in the back with raisins and dried plums.
T-the taste is quite big, it is piney with caramel and toffee, hints of alcohol with raisins and dried plums, light note of cherry in the back.
M-smooth full body with a lightly syrupy texture and strong carbonation to balance, slick and juicy on the back of the throat.
D-tasty beer, lots of sweetness that begins to take its toll as i keep drinking, great feel to it though making it very inviting. it does borderline cloying. potbeerjob (1343) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 17, 2010
Draught at Blind Tiger. Brown amber with lacy off white head. Aroma is sweet boozy molasses, dark dried fruit, light grapefruit sweetness. Taste is chewy boozy hops, strange flavor overall. Big bitter slightly nasty/off-putting finish that sticks on tongue. Leighton (21880) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 21, 2010
Tap at Blind Tiger. Barrel from 2008. Poured a hazy brown-gold with a light, white head. A swee, nutty, lighly roasted malt aroma. Lots of chestnut and brown sugar in the flavor. Medium in body, a littly syrupy with moderate thickness. Finishes with lingering malty sweetness, plenty of chestnut. Good, deep flavor with a complex and sweet character. A nice beer that stands up well with age. hopscotch (11177) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2010

a one-note sipper (too sweet to really drink), a few ounces would make a great digestif or night-cap.
would also make a nice ingredient for a sweet dark bread or fruit cake.
Tap at Redlight. Pours a reddish amber with a thick off white head. Aroma of burnt maple syrup, soy sauce, vanilla. Taste has more maple, cherry, sweet malts. Strange beer, seems like it needs some time to mellow, but interesting. redlight (2318) - Orlando, Florida, USA - DEC 24, 2009
draft @ redlight redlight. Huge caramel nose with vanilla oak and hints of soy sauce. Pours a cloudy amber with a thick off white head. Rich malt, cherries, huge oak tannins, vanilla with hints of smoke, extremely rich bock. The nose seems like its going to be more intense than it is, the time on oak really mellowed I think. DScanlon (70) - Florida, USA - DEC 22, 2009
Tap at Redlight. This beer is like drinking a hard pretzel thats on the verge of being burnt. Nice dark malts, strong alcohol burn. Dee-lish. Not something you could drink all night. Very dark, minimal head and aroma.
