Got this on tap 05.22/2016. Poured hazy with gold with a thin white head. Aroma is earthy with strawberry notes. Taste is mildly tart with definite strawberry notes. Offensive band aid flavor in the background. I like berliner weisse as a style, but there’s something off about this one. Could just be age.

Bottle from Case N Keg in Meredith, NH. Hazy yellow; after the purple pink blueberry I was expecting something a bit brighter. Artificial strawberry syrup, wheat. Mildly tart. watery. Significantly inferior to its blueberry cousin.

Tap at Kickbacks for RBWG. Pours a cloudy yellow with small off white head. The aroma is wheat and strawberry seed. Thin mouth, very tart strawberry, lactic acid, lemon, tart finish, really nice.

Reynolds314 (3477) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 14, 2015
Kinda bad. Pale hazy light yellow. Aroma is unripe strawberry, light wheat, mineral water. Taste is watered down and boring.

My Bottom Line:

Soft lactic acidity, unripe strawberries and moist wheat wade within this uncarbonated mess.

Further Personal Perceptions:

-Headless, murky and opaque, this is one of the ugliest Berliner Weisses I’ve ever seen.

-Mouthfeel is completely flat. Were they trying to brew chicha without corn or what?

-I can even imagine varnish somewhere in there. Or is it my imagination playing tricks since this brew is so unpalatable?

-I usually enjoy Smuttynose quite a bit, but this one was either mislabeled or it was a complete miss (for me).

On tap at Tilt, in South Burlington.

4 oz pour on draft in a wine glass at B Side. Hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of strawberries, floral notes, light wheat. Tastes of light strawberries, floral notes, light barnyard funk, wheat. Medium-light body with a semi-dry finish. Pretty light on the tartness, I suppose this could be a good one for someone just getting into sours.

Sample at World Of Beer. Pours a slightly cloudy pale straw color with a medium fizzy white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of strawberries and wheat. Light body with flavors of herbal wheat and strawberries. The finish is mildly tart with a strawberry aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft at the growler NYC. Hazy orange color. Slightly tart with a nice hit of berries without being overly sweet. Not bad

Pours hazy orange into a snifter. Super elastic bubble plastic and mild strawberry aromas. Sharp flowery chemicals upfront turning to strawberry and then quickly to dry, dusty vegetal muck.

WillRunForBeer (2783) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 20, 2014
Bottle. Pours straw orange with a white head. Aroma is strawberry, peach and vinegar. Flavor is sour wheat with mild dry strawberry. There’s a plastic like flavor throughout that I just can’t enjoy.
