3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Found this for very cheap on offer, was pretty skeptical but ended up very pleasantly surprised. It’s cloudy to the point of complete fog, which is always a good sign in a wheat beer. The head is absolutely beautiful, very soft and bubbly - almost takes on a velvet texture. As for the taste, well, I can see why that might not be to everybody’s preference - there’s a distinct floral aftertaste that underpins an otherwise robust wheat ale. I find the bitter, floral tones really elevate it above your average hefeweizen, although if I’m quibbling it is missing some of the sweeter tones that are found in the upper tier ’weizens. Overall, a refreshing beer.
Bottle from notes. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, light spices, light fruit, hint of florals, soft beer, not something I would revisit. drcboehm (104) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 9, 2014
12oz. bottle from craft 12 pack. Quite delicious. Nice hop note for a summer wheat. crossovert (13908) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 17, 2014
355ml bottle. Super pickly, i guess its a witbier but a pickled one, about a month past its best by but that doest explain pickle. MrTipple (6446) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2014
Aroma: syrup, wheat, yeast. Appearance: clear gold, small, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: getting very dry in the finish, yeast and wheat again. Overall: not my favourite Wheat Ale, lacks complexity. Pint at The Ginger Man, Manhattan. berkshirejohn (6654) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2014
12oz bottle from Wegman’s, West Seneca, NY. A hazy amber pour with just a ring of cream head; the aroma has wheat, yeast and a touch of honey; refreshing citrus taste; with some corinader spice to finish. A very pleasant summer beer, but certainly not in the style of a German Weizen.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 9/5/2014. Pours hazy/cloudy bright gold color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, chamomile, wheat, cracker, bread, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spice, and pale/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, chamomile, wheat, cracker, bread, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy tartness/spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, chamomile, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spice, and pale/bready malt sweetness; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a nice pale wheat ale. Good robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spice, and pale/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering. jrodooo5 (1718) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - AUG 16, 2014
Summer beers ehhh. Light & drinkable I suppose. Mild aroma, ok pour, & not a whole lot of flavor. It’s certainly a wheat! Blah rjplumer (1181) - Foxboro, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 4, 2014
Light lemon and yeast aroma. Mild hazy burnt yellow color with a persistent inch foam head. Dry sweet bitter taste. Just a touch of sourness in the finish. DrinkinWell (389) - - JUL 16, 2014
This is a good summer ale. Pours a clear gold. Honey, lemongrass, herbs on the nose. Slight bitterness, herbal fruitiness, citrus. Nothing special, but very drinkable. generallee08 (778) - New York, USA - JUL 13, 2014
The body is pale and hazy with a straw yellow color. It has a nice tall white head on top that has good retention and lacing. In the nose I pick up only light hints of wheat malt and pale grain with some citrusy and grassy hops. On the tongue there is some light tangy wheat notes like sour dough bread, pale grain and dry yeast. The hops add light bitterness as well as some light floral, citrus, and grassy notes. The palate is light to medium bodied with a lively well carbonated texture.
