An authentic bavarian-style hefeweizen. Light and refreshing, with the hazy appearance and tangy flavor characteristic of its style.

The label has a picture of an angry looking mug of beer running away from a set of hands. i'm guessing the guy running after this beer didn't know what it tasted like, otherwise he'd have let it run away. It's not like this beer is bad, there's just nothing interesting about it. it's like a hefe for the masses. the stand out characteristic of it was it's very fizzy mouthfeel.

Initial pour yielded failrly clear, light golden color with decent head and lace. Nice nose, cloves, slight banana, lemon, apple and more. Soft, thin but flavorful, a bit slick with flavors of cloves, slight wheat, tangy, slight sour citrus, yeasty dryness but not a lot of banana.

Golden slightly hazy body, small white head. Aroma of citrus, wheat, yeast. Flavors of malts, wheat, and lemon.

This beer is very good. Not much to smell or see but what a flavour! It's yeasty but not overly so, so even non likers of hefeweizens should enjoy this one.

Consumed at River City beer festival, not bad, smelled like bananas, good mouthfeel, tasted like bananas, faint cloves, but just a hair on the watery side. Some appropriate sourness. OK, but not special.

Slightly sour. A dryish example of a blend of the crispness of an American Wheat with hefe-ness of a German Wheat. Good yeasty flavor, but the flavor could be fuller and wheatier and maltier and just, uh, even better. See Hacker-Pschorr Hefe.

Vac (2445) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 2, 2003
Pours with a pale golden body topped by little head or lace. Sweet and fruity (banana?) aroma with a slightly yeasty background. Slightly sweet and bitter flavor with a touch of yeast and a slight fruitiness. The finish is slightly bitter. Light bodied, smooth and refreshing. Slightly watery.

Meh. I'm discovering that I really don't like american made hefeweizen beer. In fact, i can only think of one or two german ones. Mildly fruity, light bodied, pretty dull.

TheBeerGod (6253) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - FEB 28, 2003
Surprisingly decent beer. Wasn't expecting much. The beers pours out a rich, hazy amber. The aroma is very wheaty but with a yeast and citrus note. Has a somewhat acidic feel in the mouth but finishes better. Decent beer.

Golden hazy pale hue. Small white head. Bananas and wheat in the nose. Thin bodied, bananas, citrus, light pepper notes, and a urine flavored finish. Im not impressed.
