This beer has a nice aroma of oranges and some Amarillo warmth. Some caramel and a little plum. Taste is disappointing flat. Medium sweetness and little bitterness. Palate is too thin. First impression is great. Orange brown hazy beer with little oily bubbles. A sip is disappointing.

Stubby 330 ml bottle, poured into a snifter at home. ABV 9.2%
Pours a deep red to almost light brown colour on the body, with one finger of off-white head sitting on top, thick, with average retention but with nice formed lacing around the glass.
Aroma is fruity with all kind of fruits and lots of amarillo hops. What stands oout is mandarine and oranges, coming from the hops, along with light grapefruit and cookies.
Very nice taste, quite sweet but without being sickening. Mandarines, citrus fruits, hops. The alcohol very well hidden, it doesn’t feel like a 9+ ABV. Light bitterness on the finish, with good duration.
The body is a bit thin considering the alcohol level, something that raises the drinkability factor to even higher levels. The low carbonation helps too.
Overall very tasty and highly drinkable. Another good one from SNAB. aenima (335) - Askim, SWEDEN - OCT 14, 2013
Caramell, raisins and some small amounts of american hops in both flavour and aroma. Medium sweet. Quite good, but not brilliant. Nisse666 (7779) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 28, 2013

Nose is lovely. Brown sugar, toffee, apples, slight brandy, undercut with a touch of bread. Taste leads with a lot of hops befitting an American style barley wine; good herbal tones, with spice and pepper leading to a moderate resin which drops away into brown sugar, grape, a touch of cola and toffee in the finish. Mouthfeel is slick.
A very nice barley wine which delivers on the premise. gueuze (966) - - AUG 28, 2013
Malty barley wine. The bottle says 38EBU, but it feels more bitter.Caramel taste, herbal hops and slightly alcoholic.
Nice! langeveld12 (582) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 10, 2013
Pours a small frothy light brown head that fully diminishes. Body is hazy amber, sparkles are visible.
Aroma contains heavy malts (caramel), moderate hops (citrus fruits), light to moderate yeasts(sough, leather) and grape, raisin, tawny port, toffee, brown sugar, alcohol and spices.
Flavor is loght acidic, then some bitterness is added, followed by sweetness and bitterness and finishing bitter and dry.
Body is medium to full with syrupy texture and lively carbonation.
It's good, but a bit too bitter and dry for my liking. It surprised me because it smells very sweet. stimulo69 (80) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 7, 2013
Malty beginning and a hoppy finish. Malt toffee like beginning and a warming alcohol feel. The aftertaste is hoppy bitter with some fruity tones.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, orange-reddish beer with a small, off white head on top. Aroma is red fruits, caramel, spicy yeast and slight booze. Flavour is quite sweet with a lot of molasses and caramel. Fruits are in the background. Decent barley wine. Nice.
