UPDATED: OCT 15, 2017 15-10-2017; bottle; at home (bought online at www.drankgigant.nl, Oost-Souburg, The Netherlands).
The looks of the beer are very nice. The beer has a nice orange brown color. It had a nice amber glow. It is quite cloudy, with some flakes floating around. Not bad. On top of the beer some nice soft almond colored foam is formed. Foam retention is average. A nice drape is left after a while. Beautiful lacing is left on the glass.
The smell isn’t very strong. I smell some simple malts, some nice licorice, a hint of chocolate and some fruit. There is some plum there.
The taste of the beer is stronger. It has a nice maltiness. The malts give flavors of chocolate, some licorice, caramel. It is nice. There is a touch of plum, some fruity hops. Hops give some bitters to it. I also taste some alcohol and almond. The hops also have something floral to.
The palate of the beer is nice. Full body, smooth texture and medium carbonation. The finish of the beer is very nice. It has a nice sweet maltiness, bitter hops, yeasty touch. It is very nice. I like this beer. McGiggle (3) - - JUL 25, 2017 does not count

Bottle @ home. Brown colour with a large off-white head. Smells sweet, liquorice, slightly iron, raisins, salmiak. Tastes sweet, hint of iron, liquorice, raisins. I hope the slight iron taste goes away after a few sips, then it’s an enjoyable brew. Medium body, soft carbo. DwarfeD (3501) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - OCT 28, 2016
375ml bottle shared at home. Hazy dark brown with a medium off-white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Medium sweet and bitter tones. Caramel, raisin, malts, bread, brown sugar and spices. OK, but not as good as the barrel aged ones. Svesse (9313) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 16, 2016
(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 14 Sep 2016) Reddish brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, dark fruit, a touch of blueberries and hints of smoke. Malty taste with caramel, dark berries, blackberries, roasty malt, brown sugar and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, quite sweet. Tasty and warming, quite well balanced for its strength. Nice one. Bijl (972) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 8, 2016
