On tap at Jopenkerk, Haarlem on 4 April 2011. Mid brown colour. Thin white head. Caramel aroma. Sweetish. More treacle toffee / caramel on the palate accompanies by a light toasty / roasty malt. Pleasant enough and fairly clean but a bit thin and short of interest. Lacked presence as can sometimes be the way with Dutch and Belgian dark beers.

Nice tasty porter, not to dry on roast tastes but soft and mellow. The beer is not complete clear, but has a little haze. The aroma has a chocolate flavor but it is soft in comparison with most stouts. back (2199) - Holstebro, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2010

Bottled. A hazy red-amber beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is acidic with notes of malt, straw, and citrus. Boring. Thanks yespr for sharing. thewolf (12706) - Kolding, DENMARK - NOV 9, 2009
Bottle, bought @ ’t Arendsnest.oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - OCT 8, 2009
Pours deep red-black with a small, creamy, white film head. Aroma has sweetness, light roasted notes, a touch of chocolate. Fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour is dryish, light roasted, rather fresh feeling and good dark nutty chocolate. Quite fine.
Bottled (from Cracked Kettle). Hazy dark brown colour with mediumsized foamy beige head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some dark dry fruits as well as mild coffeeish and nutty notes. Flavour is mainly roasted malts along with some nutty, ashy and burnt wooden notes. Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 23, 2009
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy orangey brown with a dense and lively beige head leaving some lacework. Aroma of hard roasted malts and dried fruits. Medium body, hard roasted malts and a little ashes. A little tartness in the finish and some malt bitterness. 230909
