750 ml bottle shared by BuckeyeBoy at the RB Best Awards. 2009 vintage, bottle 24. Pours a hazy orange-amber color with small off-white head that settles into a ring. Oaky, with some notes of berries, lemon, yogurt, brown sugar, earth, and leaves. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, muddled, tart, tangy mouthfeel. The age at this point isn’t helping, but this is good. I’d like to try a fresh one. DSG (14921) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 12, 2016

Sample at GABF 09/26/2015, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Ruddy amber-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes gradually. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of berries, oak and malt. Medium body with flavors of vinous oak, tart berries and doughy malt. The finish is moderately tart with a berry and citrus aftertaste. Pretty good overall. mcberko (18060) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2015

From a 750 ml bottle at the RBSG Grand Tasting. This was was probably beer number 200 and my taste buds were kind of shot by this point. But this one still stood out. Pours amber with a white head. Nose of cherry oak, and lots and lots of funk. Medium plus in body. Mouth feel has a bit of a bite. Flavor is what you expect in a wild ale with lot of sourness to go with the cherry and oak. Very good. djd07 (15067) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 20, 2015

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2015 Normal sour aroma, pours out a brown amber, minimal head, fruity taste, grapes, equal parts sweet and sour. Rerate 11/14/15 from 2009 vintage wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 9, 2015
From notes. Tasted on 9/16/12 from a capped 750mL bottle that I received in a trade with Bill Becker aka bitterbill a long time ago. Pours cloudy cola brown with a red tint, and a thin beige head that leaves very thin lace. The nose is very sour citrus and tart cherry with nice dark bread malt, and just a touch of cinnamon spice. The flavor is a very balanced combination of sour citrus, bread malt, cherry, and nice vanilla and cinnamon oak. The body is medium and very tannic with average carbonation and a long sour, malty, cherry, and oaky finish. Although not much to look at in the glass, this is one of the best tasting beers I have ever had.
