UPDATED: SEP 23, 2004 This brew has tons of hops throughout. A great dryhopped IPA with tons of hops without the overwhelming bitterness. Good fruity hops in the aroma and the taste with a mildly bitter end. I didn’t have all that high of expectations for this brew but was rather pleased with the outcome.

Bottle. Orange with a large head. Lots of yeast and peaches in the nose, with some yeast floaties appearing on the surface of the hop pool. Flavor is a dull nutty orange, not too sweet... a little acidic on the tongue. Mediocre to below average IPA.

(bottle) Beige head, clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, floral. Taste is medium sweet, floral/grapefruit. Watery, light-medium body. Seems more like an APA.

Clear and golden with a pretty nice head. Soft carbonation and smooth bodied. Malts have some pronounced flavors ... rising bread dough, earth, sugary grains, mild nuts, and lively yeast. Hops are sharpish ... citrusy and resinous, with notes of pine needle sap and quite a bit of bitterness to finish things off. Not bad, but if I had to complain ... malts are too weak and not pronounced enough, hops are too biting and not aromatic enough, and bitterness is a little high -- relatively speaking and all things considered.

Golden in color. Nutty, resiny, citrusy aroma. Overall watery with a dry bitter finish. A little on the weak side for my liking.

Just a little too much on the hops here and not very well balanced. Copper colored. Big strong hop and citrus/grapefruit nose. Hop and citrus flavors. I' m usually not opposed to a strongly hopped beer but this one just failed to have any structure or balance (as I mentioned earlier).

Light floral hop nose. Unripe hop flavor with a medium finish...didn't care for it.

KingPinHead (390) - Des Moines, Washington, USA - NOV 17, 2002
11/10/02: The nose has sweet floral and citrus tones surrounded by hoppy essence...Color is a pretty, clear honey-amber; the head is light but busy---speckled lace...This features a nice whole-hop presence that provides good, though fairly subdued flavor, while the malt adds light sweetness and body, especially in the mild finish...Body is medium-light and indeed feels a little thin for the style...Overall, this has good hop flavor and aroma, but lacks a degree of intensity that would boost this to higher station in the IPA universe.
