I drank this beer in Bert Grant’s pub. He is the godfather of microbrews. A scientist and contractor for major breweries, he petitioned to repeal old prohibition laws prohibiting breweries from having a tap room. He is said to have carried a vial of hop oil around with him for the weaker beers he drank. Hanuta06 (486) - Washington, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Serving: from tap at Snipes Mountain Microbrewery and Restaurant
Aroma: moderate, cat piss-like hoppy aroma.
Appearance: very small, white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, dark-yellow body.
Taste: moderately bitter initial flavor and moderately sour, citrusy finish with long duration.
Palate: medium body with dry texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: excellent. Great aroma, well-balanced unique taste. I’d like to drink this again. Bradrcr (806) - Renton, Washington, USA - SEP 9, 2007
9/8/07 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is grassy PNW hop forward with lots of citrus and a light sweet malt note to balance. Appearance is a hazy golden copper with a solid off-white head. Flavor is strangely complex and encompasses all of the tongue. It is very complex hop forward with a dominant citrus character. There is a good sweet malt character balance to keep it easy drinking. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carb feel and a clean, but not dry, finish. Overall, one of the best IPAs I’ve had this year. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 8, 2007
on tap-pours a disappearing off white head and gold color. Aroma is mild citrus/grapefruit hops. Taste is citrus/grapefruit hops-some bitter. Nice. Jerre (3823) - Waregem, BELGIUM - SEP 10, 2014

Amber colour. Woody, slightly grapefruity aroma. Flavour is mainly grapefruit, wood and black currant, with a light underpinning of pale malt sweetness. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - AUG 28, 2005
22oz bottle. Dark amber gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is grapefruit, fruit and sweet with a touch of wood. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity, citrus and a touch earth/wood. Nice balance. Lots of earthy and herbal characters that go along with a strong hop bitterness. Crisp finish. Nice representation of the Pacific Northwest IPA style. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is bitter, yet there is some sweetness as well. goldtwins (4319) - Nesconset, New York, USA - AUG 6, 2006
Poured a hazy amber color with a tremendous off-white head. Big hop foward aroma with nice notes of citrus and pine. Hop flavor with a fair amount of pine. Big flavors but nice balance. bhensonb (15747) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 27, 2007
Floral hop aroma backed by caramel malt. Something of an apricot color with a white head that filmed while lacing strangely. Medium bodied, almost creamy. Mild carbonation. Floral hop, maybe a bit of citrus, with mild caramel sweetness. As the sweetness goes, the finish is hop, hop, hop. This is great. Saarlander (1920) - Saarlouis, GERMANY - AUG 9, 2007
A gift from my friend Jason, who’s cousin received it on a flight! In a bomber, Nice! Mellow drinker for an IPA, but this sample was fresh, and lots of nice hop flavor, with that said, its an easy drinker, without a "Hopbomb" flavor to it, very balanced, and enjoyable, Thanks Jay!
