On tap @ Chuck’s 85th. Pours cloudy light copper color with thin head. Aroma is big floral hops. Taste is fresh, grassy, slightly lemony hops, with a clean pale malt body. Perfect bitterness - come on medium strong and sustains through the finish. Really well balanced. Incredible hop flavor for this low an abv. This style (session IPA??) really needs to start catching on, it’s an awesome counterpoint to all the DIPAs proliferating these days.
Pours a light caramel brown color with a malt taste and flavor. Slight bitter IPA flavor that dissipates quickly after the swallow. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Draft at snipes. Pours clear darker golden with creamy off white head. Butter laden kettle popcorn on the nose. Slick creamy mouth feel. No hop flavor, slightly sweet cereal malt, artificial oily popcorn butter. Worked well to show my girl what diacetyl is, but undrinkable for me. Aroma and flavors of dusty caramel and grassy

On tap at Brouwer’s in Seattle. Pours a very hazy and cloudy light orange-tan with some white head that dissipated fairly quickly. C-hops in the nose, very definite and almost with a sour citrusy note and a tad fruity at that. Big hops in the flavor, citrus citrus citrus...almost astringently so. Malt is very subdued, maybe a bit of munich, wheat, and not much other specialty malts goin on. Finishes dry and again that’s where the astringent note comes in. I kinda wish there was a little more malt sweetness and body even though it is suppose to be an "Indian Session Ale", I believe it could use more oomph and it would still be very sessionable. A good effort overall but still somewhat incomplete.

Nose is full of tropical fruit, citrus, citra hops, lemon grass, light dank. Fucking great smelling. Two of my favorite hops. Golden pour, nice clarity, thin head. The flavor is bright and hoppy tons of citrus and tropical fruit, lemon grass, some floral notes. Malt base is light and adds a hint of biscuit dryness as well as light sweetness. Aroma: Floral, citrus, pine, peach and a little mango
Flavor: Dried orange and dried peach initially with floral and citrus undercurrent. Juicy peach and mango appear on the mid-palate and, on the finish, this merges with floral and citrus hops that then take on pine flavors after a few seconds.
Comment: We were told at the shop that the maker had used the last Soriachi hops in the country. Citra hops also used. Very fragrant and fruity aroma and flavor. Excellent palate as it had a complete mouth feel with tingling carbonation and a very long finish. I rarely rate IPAs this high, but everything worked on this batch.
