Aromat: karmel, toffi, suszone owoce, rodzynki, lekka wanilia, bardzo obiecujący. Smak: od razu rzuca się mało ciała, dość cienkie, hmm nawet bym powiedział, że wytrawne, susz owocowy, karmel, palone słody, na finiszu goryczka chmielowa ziołowo - trawiasta, alkohol mógłby być lepiej ukryty. 650 ml bottle. Pours a deep red/brown with moderate head. Aromas of sugary syrup, caramel, dill, and sweet malts. Flavors of caramel, light licorice, a little dill (is there sorachi in there?) and bready malts. A bit of heat and alcohol both up front and in the finish. The bottle comes with plastic wax, quite annoying; it pours a hazy dark amber color with red and brown shades; large compact head. The aroma is malty and mellow with evident note of oak barrel, and roasted nuts; but also a bit metallic. Full bodied, with round mouthfeel; it has a rich malt and caramel flavor, where the vanilla from the oak is a nice component, less overpowering than in other beers; it’s sweet but without excess, and it has strong bitterness, with a light nutty touch that reminds me of the British Barley Wines, but more hop resins than in those. Possibly it’s a bit metallic, and it has some alcohol warmth in the final. Overall it’s a balanced brew, quite easy to drink among Barley Wines.
Serving: from tap at Snipes Mountain Microbrewery and Restaurant
Aroma: moderate caramel malt aroma.
Appearance: small, creamy, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, dark-amber body.
Taste: heavily sweet, caramel initial flavor and finish with long duration.
Palate: heavy body with oily texture and flat carbonation.

Beer pours slightly cloudy amber color with a modestly retained beige colored head. Aroma is rich, sweet malt, brown sugar, oak, rum soaked raisins, and alcohol. Flavor is thick with lots of dark fruit, some very nice oak flavor, though not too much. Palate is very creamy and thick. Some port flavors as well. Bomber from Whidbey Beer Works. Pours dark amber with a foamy beige head. Aroma is like berry fruit over roasted malt. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Within limits it is like a Flemish ale that’s just missed being sour. It’s pretty dry, though there is a sweet hint, and it’s hinting at having kissed some oak. Though it hasn’t. It’s a pretty good beer, but it’s almost like it pretends to greatness. Didn’t make it that far. Like it.
