22415brewery (379) - Washington, USA - OCT 8, 2011
On tap at the brewery. Poured a Medium-light copper, fairly hazy with minimal head that dissipated fairly quickly. Aroma of lightly toasted bread and slight metallicness. Tastes like a light dunkelweizen. No strong bready flavors, nor strong typical wheat beer flavors. Fairly light bodied with a dry finish. Yeasty flavor dominates the finish, but not bready. This is an unoffensive dunkelweizen, however it does not display any outstanding qualities. The yeast is not as upfront as others nor does it take on any roasty or darker malt-type flavors. Poured quite a bit lighter than most and it was not only an indicator of overall flavor, but it was also a clue to the lack of complexity. Average at best unless it was an interpretation of the style...i.e. American style wheat beer. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - MAY 30, 2007
Very similiar to the their Hefe, a little more of a roasted presence. Awfully thin with very little malt pressence. Not much bitterness to speak of and not much citrus sour either. Plain.
