Introducing the first in an ongoing series of Limited Release beers by Snoqualmie Falls Brewing’s renowned master brewer, Rande Reed. They say the Devil’s in the details! Baphomet is the 15th card in the Tarot deck, and this beer was designed for our 15th anniversary last year, but we missed it. The beer and the eye-grabbing label were just too good not to release, so it is now our 15th + 1 anniversary release! This special celebratory offering is a devilishly delicious high gravity Red Ale! The high alpha Bravo hops add a wicked bite. The Munich malt provides loads of mouthwatering malty character, and select crystal malt provides its bloody red hue. This devilishly concocted full bodied brew featuring the highly unique citric quality of the Bravo will be enough to spin your head around- and you won’t even need an exorcist!

Ruby hued brown body. Rich sweet malt with heavy caramel and some currants. Spice and pine throughout.

pinkzambia (2124) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 19, 2014
Bottle: Brown color with a tan head. Funky aroma followed by brown sugar, and light hops. Cardboard finish with some hops rattling around. Ok

IndianaRed (5277) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 19, 2014
BOttle shared by Pinkzambia redish amber nice light brown head. Some papery wet cardbord bitter sparp flavors but not much maltiness. A barleywine but w/o the camely character.

Bottle from Brews Almighty, Everett
Dark amber color with red hue. They went heavy with the caramel here; strong hops, more resiny than fruity, a bit nutty, roasted nuts, quite hard beer.

Oakes (19711) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 16, 2014
Reddish-brown, rich hops, touch of toffee, and a touch of chewy malt and dried fruit. Good brew.

mcberko (20482) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 30, 2014
22 oz. bottle, pours a clear dark mahogany with a small white head. Aroma is quite spicy, with toasted malt and toffee. Flavour is very malty but not too sweet, with notes of toasted nuts, dry caramel, and spicy hops. I thought this would be on the sweeter side, but the spicy hops pierce through to make this well-balanced. Enjoyable stuff in smaller amounts.

BillKismet (4177) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 26, 2014
Dark amber body with a cream caramel head. Hoppy and candied malt bouquet. Candied malts and biter hoppy body with a touch of diacetyl.

cobaink2 (892) - seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 6, 2014
Beer from beer junction. Nice sized head. Tastes of slight caramel and lots of toasty malt goodness. It’s drinkable but not overly impressed.

bhensonb (16250) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 25, 2014
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours bright ruddy copper with a orangy/beige head. Aroma of a hoppy barleywine. Med body, maybe better. Flavor is malty, even a touch of treacle, and there’s hop burn. Sort of herbal/earthy hop burn. Barleywine? Red IPA? My mouth hungers for more. Really nice!

after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - FEB 2, 2014
22, capped. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a dense and creamy dark tan head and plenty of lace. This is a big dark and dirty nose, lots of toast and burnt business, tortured malt, and heavy earthy hops. Creamy thick body with bright forceful carb. Dark toasty caramel with bright tangy fruit and heavy earthy notes from the hops. Heavy, tangy finish. Really interesting. Not an everyday drinker, not an all day drinker, but very well made, and all about a certain vision without a doubt. Not for everyone, but definitely for people who like stuff that isn’t all about the everyday.
