3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice thick, pillowy, creamy, lingering head. Sharp initial piney hops. Pleasantly malty, but not proportional to the hops. Not as balanced as Wildcat. Pricier too. And in exchange, maybe 1% more alcohol? I guess I don’t see the point... this is a nice IPA, but Wildcat is already super solid. If you want to do a imperial, add some more malt to this and get up to 9% or so...
Draft. Medium off-white head atop murky apple cider body. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit juice, tangerine. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, light pine, tangerine. Medium body, some resin. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - JUN 13, 2015
Nice malts. Sufficient bitterness. But there’s a strange astringency here. My wife noticed it, too, and she’s not a beer person. Ferris (15889) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 8, 2014
Draft - Sweet vegative and fruity. Clear gold with a good white head. Tastes as it smells, very sweet with a bitter finish. mcberko (18056) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 8, 2014
On tap at Seattle Winter Beer Festival 2014, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out skunky and herbal hops, with some juicy malt notes. Flavour is similar, bringing out herbal and skunky hops, light vegetal quality, and a dry bready malt backing. Too much herbal, skunky hops in here. Not bad, but not the best. 50belair (3656) - Florida, USA - JUN 15, 2014
On tap at the brew pub. Clear pale yellow pour with a white head. Nice citrusy hop bouquet. Similar to the Wildcat but with more tang in the citrus/pine/resin hop notes. Sturdy malt backbone. Good body and mouthfeel.

A: Pours an amber ale with excellent clarity and a finger of peanut head has meringue quality. This falls over several minutes to a sheet of the same. Cobweb lacing.
S: Some mango, peaches, resin and pine. Nice sweet biscuit malts with some underlying grain tones. The slightest hint of alcohol. Nice.
T: Bitter, sweet, resin and citric rinds are very prominent. There is some alcohol again here. The beer is little off balanced with too much bitterness in your face without more flavor and finishing hops to help polish this beer. Good, but could use a little adjustment.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carb. Long and slick finish.
O: This is a decent offering from Snoqualmie. It’s got a bit more action than the Wildcat IPA they offer year-round. There could be a bit more depth to the hop schedule and diversity. Although I wouldn’t turn this beer away, I wouldn’t be likely to pick up another bottle right away.
