Terrific Belgian-style ale from this up and coming brewery. Good strong head, off-white/gold color. Very floral and fruity nose and initial taste; slightly bitter but sweet mouth feel and finish. Worth tracking down each spring! earendil (3) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - MAR 31, 2005 does not count
beautiful dark-golden color, fruity boquet spiked with coriander, and a great subtle malt flavour rounded out with coriander and the yeast esters. Reserve66 (2) - PORTLAND, Oregon, USA - FEB 15, 2016 does not count
As described, beer has a dark orange hue with a balanced Belgian malty taste. Highly recommended.

19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - MAR 24, 2006
Appearance: carmel brown, small white head, some lacing
Flavor: hops, some carmel malts, flowers or grass (something sweet), ginger, and misc. spices
Palate: very dry, sweet hoppy aftertaste, very smooth
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2008 Lots of fruitiness in this one. Lots of different spices but not spicy overall. The tropical-ness does really shine, kind of a hawaiian essence to it.
9-22-07; Rating the new batch - This is a great ale. Belgian in name, its really like a South Pacific take on its namesake, veery rich and malty. Sweet and flavorful with a great lingering bite. One of my first craft-brews remains one of my all-time favorites. Kudos. waolsen (1376) - Littleton, Colorado, USA - OCT 26, 2006

Bottle. Body-hazy copper brown with a medium ring of bubbles and a film of bubbles. Nose-unsweet apple juice, light hops, lemon. Taste-sharp, medium alcohol, light watered down citric juice, unrefined brown sugar, slightly sweet, clean Belgian yeast, not a lot of off flavors, alcohol really comes out on the back end, light slat, pineapple. Very well done, very well made. An excellent beer that really hits home with me.
