COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In our region, winter winds whip layers of snow into majestic formations called cornices. They hang in a gravity-defying balance, ready to cascade at any moment into a rushing avalanche. We wanted to craft a cider to carry these traits… So we aged cider in oak barrels, knitting tannins and aromas into an avalanche of flavors. Notes of bourbon vanilla, fall fruit and toffee coalesce in this off-dry cider.

MicroGrog (461) - FT: Stale Polotmavý in Queens, New York, USA - OCT 27, 2017
On tap at Wassail in the LES.

Fancy goblet(or is it a really fat champagne glasses?).

Clear, pale, golden, sheen-y body.

Smell is less then subtle bourbon, along with a fruity melon essence.

Bourbon, maybe a little boozy, tart apples, melon wierdly. Softer then I would have expected. Medium tartness, less then moderate acid. Creamy.

A little slick, mellow alcohol, soft all around.

Better then okay, but lacking something. One of the better barrel aged ciders I've had.

On tap at Schilling Cider House, Fremont. Golden and bright. Has a nice crisp apple aroma. Tart, complex, voluptuous apple. Really nice.

Golden with suds of head. A dry cheesy Apple character. Not bad.

Notes: on tap at the tap room, Seattle trip May ’17

nimbleprop (8808) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 29, 2016
7oz pour at Anxo, pours a dark gold with no head and light legs. Nose is nice, apples, apple juice, a little riesling, some mild spice. Flavor follows, apples and apple sauce, mild spice, a touch of toffee, a little butter. Missed the oak. Finishes lightly tannic and dry.

Beerdrinker79 (2218) - Idaho, USA - JUN 26, 2016
750 ml bottle- Pours crystal clear honey golden with minimal crackly head that reduces immediately. Aroma is apples, floral, meadows. The taste is apples, vanilla, the oak wasn’t noticeable immediately, but is definitely there, especially as it warms, i know it’s not cedar, but for some reason i am thinking cedar, but never mind that. Vanilla, and some hard alcohol notes, that are definitely from the barrel. Cider fans will definitely love it, i really like it.

Tons of oak, nice tartness, and nice caramel notes. Very complex and balanced. Not too dry, not too sweet. Highly carbed.

BA version at Holy Mountain. Champagne yellow, tiny bubbles. Sweet, but good vanilla balance. Smooth, balanced. Lovely.

Capa (3496) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - SEP 12, 2015
So, this is great cider. Powerful carbonation. Thin on the tongue. Refreshing tart apple, earth and light smoke, but just ever so faint. A refreshing sipper.
