Pours clear dark brown with a small beige head, some lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel and hazelnuts. Flavors of toasted malts, caramel, nutty and citrus
A good brown ale
14 ounce sample on tap at The Burger Saloon in Woodland, CA. The aroma has lightly sweet cocoa hints with very mild roasted malts. Light grassiness is also present. Mostly transparent mahogany body with a medium, strong, light tan head. Starts with some sweet cocoa flavors before an acetic, vinegary infected flavor takes over in the middle. Apearance- A amber dark brown with a quick disappearing tan head, and some sticky lacing.
Aroma- Roasted malt, sweet caramel smell that is almost overpowering and coffee
T/P- Taste is like the smell roasted malt chocolate and coffee. The coffee defiantly comes out in the taste.
Overall- This is not bad; there are defiantly better browns out there. It is not well balances the coffee is a bit strong. If it was a little better balanced it would be outstanding as it is it is good and drinkable, but not out standing.

Pour had no head on a dark brown body.
The aroma was mild brown sugar. Fine but not much there.
The taste had a mild sweet malt balanced out with mild bitter.
Crisp with low to moderate carbonation.

Had this beer several times...just getting around to rating it. Poured out of a growler filled at the brew pub. Pours a dark rich, coffee brown. Light off white head. Aroma is roasted barley.
