Dark brown beer with a decent head and small amount of lacing. The smell of this beer was the best thing about it. It lacked any true, stand out flavors and the coffee taste was so weak, it wasn’t even worth it. Vac (2445) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 9, 2005
Pours with a deep brown body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet and very malty with a slight hop note, not all that great. Medium bodied and smooth. bb (9519) - Alamo, California, USA - JUL 19, 2005
Draft. Brown beer. Roasty chocolate flavor. Light aroma. Medium-light body. Easy drinking and refreshing. Malts come through. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 21, 2004
Medium tan head that quickly dissipates, atop a clear dark brown body. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, chocolate, nutty, light caramel, coffee. Taste is medium sweet, cola, light caramel, faint coffee, light astringency. Watery light-medium body. elnadeau (786) - Laguna Niguel, California, USA - MAR 29, 2004
Very dark brown, very small head, can't find the aroma. Flavor contains a roasted coffee/cocoa, almost stout like character, is a bit too acidic or over roasted. Drinkable I suppose, but frankley needs a re-design.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2004 Believe it or not, brown color with a tan head, whoa. Nothing in the aroma to speak of as well as the taste. Well, I've tried two of their beers and they are both uninspiring. Worth finishing though, so they have that going for them. Worth taking any more of my time to rate this swill? Probably not. Adios. y0cola (361) - fremont, California, USA - JAN 27, 2004
Toasted coffee bean flavor. Clear amber brown color. No head and poor aroma. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - NOV 30, 2003
Dark brown color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is nutty with a touch of caramel and fruit. A medium to lighter bodied brown ale. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are mild and slightly spicy. The balance is good, but it really reminds me of every other brown ale out there. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. The beer pours out a deep brown color with ruby highlights, the head Bunyanesque in size, semi-creamy in texture, the color a light tan and the lace a fine sealing sheet to hide the glass. The aroma of lightly toasted grain, caramel, and black walnut sweetness pervades the nose, crisp, fresh and delightful this nose, start is quite sweet, rich in malt with the top light to moderate in feel. Finish has a stinging acidity, the hops appetizing in their spiciness, droughty aftertaste that is pleasing to the palate, a nice change of pace and a quaffable brew tis’ true. UPDATED: NOV 12, 2004 Dark ruby red appearance, moderate head formation. Malty, chocolate, fruity red wine aroma. Sweet fruity palate, fairly mild, dry cocoa finish.
