Medium body, light color. Citric, piney aroma and a surprisingly crisp, bitter flavor. Nearly an IPA. A touch sour at the end, but a nice effort. jazz88 (2680) - San Francisco, California, USA - AUG 4, 2002
Bottle. Some hop flavor and slightly fruity. Rather bland for a pale ale. herbjones (742) - Orange, California, USA - DEC 10, 2002
Honey colored pour with a quickly fading head. Nose has a weird butterscotch aroma. Slight hop bite and a strange sweetness come out on the first sip. Dont know what to make of this one. larryLSB (533) - La Selva Beach, California, USA - DEC 30, 2011
Poured from 12 oz bottle, picked up at the brewpub. Copper colored with medium off white head. Nose was a little off at first, but as it warmed up it improved. More on the malty side, not a lot of hop characteristics to me. Pleasant taste, smooth and very drinkable. I did open this up with a FW Pale 31 and poured them blind for my mate. She went back and forth for a while, eventually choosing the 31. Overall, it is an interesting PA, completely different then the 31. monk191 (2003) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 28, 2013
A decent pale ale. Pours a nice amber color with not much head. Smells a little fruity and hoppy. Taste starts fruity and finishes hoppy. Not bad. Had in the bottle in Murphy's.

Hazy-golden colour, strong defined head. Smells like an IPA, tastes like an APA. No off-flavors, nothing spectacular. Well made and average. Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 29, 2006
Bottle. Orange colour with a white head. Grape, hoppy aroma and a sweet grape, hoppy taste. Medium body with a sweet finish. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 31, 2006
Hazy amber with an off white head. Hoppy and citric fruity aroma with a weak peach note. Hoppy and fruity flavor with a light sweetness and a light dry finish. Saarlander (1686) - Saarlouis, GERMANY - MAY 3, 2006
A nice amber color. Poured slowly, but still had the largest head of a beer I’ve ever poured. Fruity, somewhat hoppy brew, but very easy drinking. Zymurgeist2 (2272) - Redwood City, California, USA - JAN 2, 2010
Out of a pint glass outside of Yosemite at "California’s oldest saloon."
Hazy gold color with a nice white head that remains full and lacy.
Nice hop aroma.
Taste of well balanced hops and malts follows through with generous citrusy hops on the finish.
