   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 9/20
bager (2120) - Copenhagen N, - APR 18, 2009
Bottled thx to Per. Semi clear and amber coloured with almost no head. Somewhat malty with notes of smoke, grain, spices and pine. Maybe a bit off.

TorbenJensen (1576) - Valby, DENMARK - OCT 4, 2015
Rich light brown foam with a slight reddish tinge. It brings together soon, however, to approximately 3 mm thick head of froth which is persistent. It is a very inviting beer, hanging him on the side of the glass. It smells of malt, light orange and some spruce. The label reveals also that there is used a Christmas tree in this Christmas beer, so spruce scent was expected and draws immediate thoughts expectantly toward Christmas. The taste is so absolutely bock-like, but contains much grain flavor that leaves a dry and prolonged aftertaste. One must just taste a few times before you find out whether you like it or not, and I came happily forward to I even really like it. It is very special and I will believe that it is a beer you either love or loathe. It has the Bocks expected crispness Christmas plump sweetness and so that special but unique flavor of spruce.

thewolf (12861) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 13, 2009
Bottle, bought in Frederikssund.

Pours deep red-brown with a small, creamy, beige head. Aroma has caramel, light yeast, coriander and a light tart cranberry note. Prickly highish carbonation, rather watery. Flavour is weak, some fruity tartness, caramel. Well, not terribly infected, but infected nonetheless. And thin. Harsh liqourice-flowery bitterness in the finish.
5/3/5/2/7 = 2.2

From Superbrugsen, Aarhus
Malty flavor with a hint of smoke. Hopping low

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 1, 2008
Beautiful, red-brown with a huge, creamy head. the aroma has notes of roasted malt, sourness, candy sugar and tea. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, caramel, burnt sugar, slightly dry grapefruit and a light bitterness. It’s very ordinary and could have a better balance.
