Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, dark malts, caramel, chocolate, licorice, butterscotch. Taste is neutral, caramel, paper, hay, cardboard, chocolate, butterscotch. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Next!
Some nuttiness in the aroma, I’m surprised that this is considered to be the best of their beers at this time. I found it the least drinkable. quite a bit of malt but also stringy and unfortunately a bit buttery sour. Damaged I hope. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 6, 2012
(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clearish brown, creamy fine tan head. Nose of cream, toasty brown sugar, nutty, juicy dark fruit, Melba toast. Taste is nutty, smoke, cream, bacon fat. Weird taste.

Dark red pour with an off-white head. The aroma is full of dark fruit, cocoa and chocolate. The flavor has a good bit of cocoa and smoke with some roasted malt notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Arve_Christian (5215) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 15, 2014

Thanks to schmoopsbeer for sending this out my way. Served in a tulip.
Pours very dark brown with a two-finger tan head that fades quickly to a collar. The nose carries a bit of roast and chocolate with some mild coffee in the background. Flavor is similar with more roast, and also a slight bit of black licorice. Medium body with a quite dry finish. Decent enough. Palme (4816) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 22, 2014
Sampled from a 0.65l bottle @ RBNG 2014. A dark brownish looking one, only a small sidesticking bubbly beige head. Not extreme nose, but a roasted dark caramel thing. Some cocoa and little chocolate found here as well. Stingy roasted flavor. Only prickling carbonation and it’s quite full-bodied. Lots of coffee here, a tad watery coffee perhaps? Sweet and really wood dry finish and tail. Not bad. 15.02.2014 OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 27, 2014
Low tanned head. Unclear, mid-brown body. Gently sweet caramel malty aroma. Faint licorice and roasted nuts. Near full body. Firm grassy and leafy bitterness. Good malt base with roast, dark caramel and coffee. A fine dryness in the ending. A solid Porter. [Shared bottle at Grand Tasting, RBNG2014]
